The Trolly Problem lesson from The Good Place, except the characters have been haphazardly edited into Rings of Power characters; Chidi is Elrond, Eleanor is Galadriel, Jason is Isildur, Tahani is Gil Galad, and Michael is Halbrand. Elrond is saying "This is an exciting day, we are going to tackle The Trolley Problem!"

Elrond stands in front of a blackboard, explaining to the class: "You are driving a trolley when the brakes fail, and on the track ahead of you are five workmen that you will run over."

A closer shot of Elrond as he continues: "Now, you can steer to another track, but on that track is one person you would kill instead of the five. What do you do?"

Gil Galad, Isildur and Galadriel sit on a sofa paying attention, while Halbrand sits on a chair to the side apparently taking notes. Galadriel's hand is raised and she asks, "Do we know anything about the people?"

Closer shot of Galadriel as she continues: "Like, is one of them an ex-boyfriend or that snooty guy from my battalion who was always silently judging my leadership decisions?" A small picture of Thondir peeks in the corner of the image.

Close of Elrond saying, "You don't know any of the workers."

Shot of the three on the sofa as Galadriel responds, "Okay, well, then that's easy. I switch tracks, kill one person instead of five."

Shot of Gil Galad as he says, "But this is hard because the only trolley I've ever been on is Círdan the Shipwright's ironic trolley. It travels backwards from his swan grotto to his boathouse of adult pedalos."

Gil Galad turns and sees Isildur, Galadriel and Halbrand all staring at him.

Shot of Gil Galad taking a sip of wine, sheepishly muttering: "Um, kill one, save five."

Elrond points from the front of the class, saying: "Sauron, you've been kind of quiet. What do you think about all this?"

Halbrand looks down at his notes, saying: "Well, obviously the dilemma is clear. How do you kill all six people?"

Halbrand turns his notes around to reveal a graphic sketch of himself driving one trolly and using a knife on a rope to kill the workman on the other track. He explains: "So I would dangle a sharp blade out the window to slice the neck of the guy on the other track..."

Halbrand continues, as his classmates lean in to see his drawing: "...as we smush our five main guys."

Close up of Halbrand staring into the middle distance as he says, "Oh, I did the thing again, didn't I?"

Hugo Weaving as Elrond with his head in his hand, spinning the blackboard to face the opposite direction, saying: "Yep. Ten more, buddy."

Halbrand crosses to the blackboard, on which he has already written "people = good" many times. He stoops to pick up the chalk, saying to himself, "People good. People good."

Close up of Halbrand beginning to write more lines, saying: "Why is that so hard to remember? People..."
