Genuinely surprised if you haven't come across these quotes from the following YouTube videos yet: "The woman who saved Paul McCartney | 60 Minutes Australia" @6:25 & "Paul McCartney sets record straight on relationship with Lennon | Parkinson Interview 12 Oct 1997" @22:20. Seems to me like Paul's literally admitted he's not straight already and I'm living for it even if it flew under the radar
“Did he love you?”
“Yeah, I think he did actually. It wasn’t a spiky relationship at all, it was very warm, very close, and very loving.....homosexuality was still largely illegal sure...but then the business came and the lawyers arrived...”
the thing about the beatles is its a romance it's a tragedy it's a comedy it's a coming of age story its a polycule it's everything it's nothing they were bigger than jesus they were a bloody good band they were just a band who made it very, very big, that's all
Paul and Martha
Our boys.
Sgt Pepper era.
Just a little discreet physical contact between John & Paul. From shoulders to knees.
No change there then.
My favourite part of the Venus and Mars re-release email is how the little graphics perfectly represent Paul’s attempts to reconnect with John in the mid-70s
Remembering the lovely LINDA McCARTNEY who passed away on this date, April 17, 1998.
“ Linda means beautiful in Spanish, and my Linda was certainly that — inside and out. — Anyone who met her, however briefly, was touched by her genuine interest and gentle kindness. I never stop thinking of her as my girlfriend, even though she became my wife, my children's mother, and my Lady. — The beauty of her spirit never failed to communicate itself to those she encountered, whether they were young or old, male or female, or whatever, they were worthy of respect and so she treated them exactly the same and they invariably felt very comfortable being with her. — Our love of animals was something we discovered, we shared as time went by, and they too enjoyed the same deep respect given to them by her. Her vision of the world was, and is, a simple one. Love, kindness, respect and thoughtfulness for one another and for our fellow species and a deep distrust of people who neglect these values. I am blessed to have shared thirty loving years with this uniquely special woman, a fact which I will remain eternally grateful for. “
— Paul McCartney, Club Sandwich - 1998.

March, 12th.
I really don’t remember whether or not I invited any of the band to the wedding. Why not? I’m a total bastard, I suppose – I don’t know, really. Maybe it was because the group was breaking up. We were all pissed off with each other. We certainly weren’t a gang any more. That was the thing. Once a group’s broken up like that, that’s it. - Paul McCartney, in Paul McCartney: Many Years From Now, by Barry Miles, 1998
John, George and Ringo weren’t at the wedding, which might have been because of the tensions of the time, or because we decided to do it quickly. It seems like an important point now but it wasn’t at the time – it was just the two of us wanting to get married quietly. My dad wasn’t there either – I’m not sure he was pleased with me about that, but my best excuse was that it was the spirit of the times. We didn’t want a big fuss. - Paul McCartney, Wingspan, 2002
also i remember yoko saying john got inside the car, mad as hell and told her they were getting married and she (according to herself in that thing i saw) was like ... yea ok, like he didnt even ask so it wasnt a proposal at all, i cant find it tho but i've read it a lot of times, also prior to this there's the apple employee's version where john got in, saw like a zine or a newspaper or smt and got so mad he said he was gonna fire whoever did that lmao bc it was a pic of paul w linda announcing/congratulating them for their marriage and then he wrote things and I SWEAR it's real bcuz i did some deep research back when i found about it but i dont know how to look it up

2018:
"The thing you must remember is that I'm the number one John Lennon fan. I love him to this day and I always did love him." - Paul McCartney
