“… when you’re buying books, you’re optimistically thinking you’re buying the time to read them.”
— Arthur Schopenhauer (b. 22 February 1788)
When you love, I think it’s better to love with your whole heart than to be safe and reserved. I know it might set you up for getting your heart broken which is no fun, but even if that does happen, at least you know that you gave it your all. If it didn’t work out, it wasn’t your fault because you were brave enough to say, “hey, I love the absolute shit out of you, I hope that’s enough”.

You really have to be judicious when approaching the dating scene. It’s fine to consult and ask friends for advice, but don’t take advice from someone who’s decisions/values/beliefs/morals don’t align with yours. Don’t let the clingy friend give you advice, don’t let the cynical friend brainwash you, don’t let the impatient friend convince you of something you don’t believe. Sure, at any one given time, one of them may be right, but what do you think? How do you feel? You are not your friends.
