The spiritual meaning of a black feather is that theyโre a direct connection to the divine, feathers are a sign of encouragement from the spiritual world to remind you to keep on going, even when times get tough. As feathers come from birds, they are also associated with freedom.ย

11) Talk about how you personally see Aphrodite
I will always remember the first time Aphrodite came to me in a dream. She was walking towards me from the beach, the scent of the sea in the air and the song of the waves serenading her. Before I even really took her completely in, I knew it was her. There was just this strange mix of calmness and intensity that could only be described as Aphrodite. When she got close enough that I could actually take her beauty in I realized that she didnโt stick to one look. Her hair was long then short, curly then straight. Her skin was pale and then dark and then every gorgeous shade in between. Even her body was in a constant state of transformation, each part of her varying in its plumpness and thinness.ย She was ever changing, fully representing the endless amount if beauty that has, does, and will ever exist. I saw all of you in her. And thatโs how i personally see Aphrodite.ย
Whatโs your favorite tarot/oracle deck and do you know any good ones with Greek mythology themes? I have the Tarot of the Divine and the Jane Austin Tarot, which I both love for different reasons, but neither of them work well for communicating with the Theoi. Are any of your decks particularly good for direct divine communication?
There are a few Greek Mythology themed decks on the market but I personally don't connect with any of them. I'm just gonna have to make my own one day, lol!
These are my current favorite decks:
The Embroidered Forest Tarot
The Embroidered Graveyard Oracle
The Magical Tarot
Anima Mundi Tarot
Seasons of the Witch Oracles (Beltane, Samhain, and Yule)
I do have a lot more in my collection that I enjoy and work well for me, but those are the ones I've been using the most at the moment.
I have so many decks that typically each god has a deck they have "claimed" as their own. Its usually one that matches their energy so those tend to work really well with communication but usually only with the god who the deck belongs to. For example, I tried to use The Embroidered Forest Tarot to ask the gods why a certain song was constantly being played but I wasn't getting any answers. Eventually Apollo informed me that the lack of answers was because I was using Artemis' deck and since she had no involvement in the situation I was asking about she wasn't going to answer me or let anyone else use the deck to respond to me lol! Typical Artemis! Its the same thing with my Greek Alphabet Oracle. Apollo won't let anyone else use it. You know now that I'm thinking about it, it might just be those two that are really possessive over their decks. xDDDD
But anyway, I have found that The Modern Witch Tarot to be a good deck to communicate with any deity. Weirdly also The Halloween Tarot. Idk what it is about that deck but it reads like a dream right out of the box! Although I personally only use it around Halloween time so The Modern Witch Tarot is really the best year long deck imo!
Reading tip for when youโre reading something educational (self growth, skill based etc)
When you start your self development journey / want to take it even higher, most of us turn to reading books or articles. We take notes and highlight the areas that we found impactful, we remember those points for a couple of days and then boom - we forget.
books are such a wealth of information but itโs not possible to read every single book youโve read once multiple times.
you might find it frustrating that you canโt seem to remember all that information when you need to, or you keep racking your brains trying to remember exactly where you had read that particular insight.
hereโs a method to help you out.
If you have a kindle / read online, make a Word doc/ pages doc of all the things youโve highlighted. Copy the highlighted areas, which would be areas that you found hopefully/ intriguing/ interesting, and paste them on the word doc. Use only one document for all your notes of different books and every month or so, take about 30 minutes to rapidly go through them. if you read physical books, take a photo of the sentence/ paragraph that you liked, crop it out so that the other stuff isnโt there, and put that photo in the document.
this allows for a couple of things - information isnโt lost when you finish reading the book. Sometimes we find the solution to a problem too early and when the problem crops up, we donโt remember that we had already found the answer. Two, it allows for revision and three, you may see that with time, the way you understood that particular point changes.
this is not for fictional or fantasy books - this is for books that talk about self development, marketing, sales, technical know how, etc. Stuff that you should remember and would impact your progress positively.
