I want to share a petition with you:

"Switzerland currently does not recognize the right to surviving spouse AVS (Social Security) benefits for LGBT+ widows and widowers, while heterosexual widows receive full benefits under the law.

Traditionally, following the death of a husband, a widow is granted a widow's pension. However, the government still denies a widows pension to lesbian widows who meet the same criteria. 

Take the case of Beatriz Hernandez, legally married to her Swiss wife for many years before her wife’s unfortunate death (...)

When her wife died in 2015,  Beatriz filed for the spousal survivor benefits. The Swiss government, however, denied her the surviving pension on the argument that she could not be a widow because she was married to a woman. (...)

We call on the Swiss Government to recognise the constitutional rights of LGBT+ widows and widowers immediately, by granting and paying out the survivor rights which they have funded and earned as Swiss citizens over a lifetime of contributions.

A widow's pension must be granted regardless of the sexual orientation of a woman who loses her spouse."

Hey! I, (PTSD trans man), was out with my friend last night celebrating her, (autistic black woman), birthday when her car got towed. All three of us pooled all our money together to get it out since she had work in the morning, but that means I have no rent money or gas money until Thursday when she hopefully gets paid enough to pay me back. Please consider sending her a dollar or two so she can pay me and our other friend, (DID black bi gender fluid), back so I don't miss my rent. It was around $180 to get her car out.

i lost my job two months ago but luckily i’m about to start a new job on Monday. unfortunately i have to wait 4 more weeks since i get paid biweekly to get my first paycheck

we were just only barely able to pay rent with my girlfriends SSI so we’re struggling. i had to miss my last two testosterone doses and i feel horrible. we’ve been eating as little as possible to try to get by but it hasnt been enough

🚨Major emergency!🚨

My roommate and I need to get out of the moldy place we are living in. We intend to sue our landlord after but we need to get somewhere safe, and stay fed until we can do that. We have money for long term housing and dental surgery but can't take out of those things as it took us over a year to save anything for them.

I had made a post for this, but didn't make much progress, and a lot changed in two weeks including some unexpected urgent costs. Now our original goal is no longer accurate. This goal covers transportation needs, food, and finding somewhere else for a little bit. This is urgent bc I have reason to think our landlord may try and physically remove us if we cannot afford to leave.
