In honor of Juneteenth I wanted to highlight the beauty of our people during a time where we were taught otherwise. My roots are in Louisiana and Georgia and I’ve been trying to reconnect with my history through family genealogy, art, food, folktales all of which were created by us for us🤎

I don't disagree entirely, but. The problem is that y'all are so deathly fucking afraid of things Cringe, Weird, and Uncool that anything unmarketable, subversive, or oddball enough to be "genuine subculture" is gross and unacceptable to you.

It’s Lesbian Visibility day today so I spent yesterday making a comic about feelings. If you’d told me when I was a scared 16 year old that I’d have a wife and a rainbow flag outside of my house- I’m not sure what I would’ve said but I definitely wouldn’t have believed you.
