being fixated on Kenadian but running out of words to say anything about them is the most devastating thing to happen to me

i know i promised an animation thingie, but i got like super burnt out doing it so its on the back burner for now, the woes of being in college
the day the lifesteal fandom (especially twitter) acknowledges and tries putting a stop to the creepiness + absurdity of their mob mentality and how the way they try so hard to enforce content creatorsā boundaries for them is the day i might know peace. it is so unnecessary
first, if youāre in a fandom, you are in no way responsible for policing what others can or cannot do.
sure, maybe some people will listen, but that creates a hostile environment where everyone is walking on eggshells, afraid of being ācancelledā (iāve especially seen this again and again on twitter).
and for the people who dont listen to others trying to police them, they immediately become the villain. why dont you follow these set rules? arenāt you a moral person?
i understand there are a lot of younger people in this fandom especially younger people who have never been in a fandom before, but constant hostility like this towards others is not okay.
if someone is making content that goes against a content creatorās boundaries, block them and move on.
i dont care what it is, you just need to block it and move on. that way, the content is contained and you dont need to think about it again
whatās NOT okay is bringing attention to it by making stuff like call out posts or, god forbid, bringing it to content creators attention. DONāT DO THIS.
what both of these do is bring more attention to the content you dont like. of course, this was your goal; you want to spread awareness of this content so people will hopefully not create any more of it. right?
that isnāt how these situations tend to go. instead, others will reply to the callout, condemning the personās content. then, harassment starts. thereās been numerous times in this fandom when someone received cruel comments and death threats because they broke cc boundaries
this is fostering a hostile environment. this is showing others in the fandom that this will happen to them when they dont act with the majority.
iām not saying you have to like this content or that you canāt tell your friends āhey i think this personās weirdā, but these things do not need to be public.
just block and move on.
also, showing or telling a cc about content that breaks their boundaries is in itself breaking their boundaries.
they did not ask to see it. there is no reason to show them.
remember, fandom is a place for fans. ccs are welcome to interact, but they also need to understand that they cannot control everyone in the fandom. you, as a fan, need to understand this too
im so fucking funny
i finally finished the jaron drawing after entirley redoing it! šš

Romance repulsion to me isn't even an attitude towards the concept itself like I can even go as far as pretending to be romantic. It's moreso a feeling of dysphoria that I get when something I do is percieved as being romantic. I can joke about me and my best friend being romantically involved but when people actually thought we were dating, I got really, really upset at the notion because it felt like people were insisting that I was something I knew I wasn't. I can act like I have a crush on a fictional character or a celebrity as a bit, but the thought of actually having those feelings for anyone feels Wrong, like I'd be out of character. I can even have fun pretending to be romantic but it stops being fun and starts feeling wrong when it's real. Really, romance repulsion in my experience feels very, very similar to gender dysphoria, it's a feeling of knowing that something is very off and you're not being yourself, or you're being percieved as something that you're not
bro i have been sitting on this for MONTHS all bc i couldnt think of a good bg š

Schlattsworld
i have a lot of thoughts of the proton prison escape (good ones!) but i can only like vaguely string together words. and half of it doesn't make sense. so *vaguely gestures in the video's direction*
(mega spoilers for the proton escape btw)
elytra also described as wings and the prison cells being described as cages lending to birdcage metaphor and parrots being, well, birds. ken constantly trying to keep the bird in the cage for its own safety; ken trying to keep everyone in the prison to keep them safe. ultimately the escape requiring elytra (wings) and ken clipping his own wings and remaining in the cage (he stays behind and let's parrot escape) but instead of for his own safety it's to protect everyone else's.
parrot and ken's shared mindset of "i want to keep everyone safe" but parrot's way of doing that is getting every single person out of the prison ("i made a promise i'd get everyone out safely") while ken's is keeping every single person in the prison ("and i told you to stay safe"). ultimately both are on each other's side, both want the best for each other, but what Ken wants is selfish, removing the freedom of all his friends to keep them safe.
the references to stasis chambers throughout the video, ken mentions the prison having rings of bubble elevators and how it's like a big stasis chamber. This moment then leads to the first point of tension between parrot and ken's conflicting thoughts during this escape. Then the group's way to get someone to sneak in contraband is through a stasis chamber that ends up being Ken and Parrot who have to build. It's ALSO where Ken and Parrot's big conflict happen and Ken almost breaks the stasis (and their way out). Stasis chambers are then mentioned again after ken is left inside the prison, ken telling everyone to go pull the stasis at his base. The stasis chamber is always present lol, it's cool. I don't even know if Ken's wording of describing the rings as a big stasis chamber was intentional but it's fun to think about.
Ken being stuck in the prison that HE designed and even the outer walls that he didn't know about had parts taken from his designs... sort of nudging to Ken's Daedalus Labyrinth Prison and the myth of Daedalus being trapped in his own labyrinth.
If we take the elytra as wings like how i mentioned above then the last scene almost parallels the fall of icarus, except Parrot DOESN'T fail. Also should be noticed that it's the opposite of the Icarus story where they HAVE to fly straight up. Idk I just thought the idea of Ken being similar to daedalus and the concept of having wings in his "labyrinth" was cool.
AND THE SCENE BETWEEN KENADIAN AND PARROT WHERE KEN TELLS PARROT TO ESCAPE AND THE MUSIC BUILDING IN THAT MOMENT AND THE WAY KEN DELIVERS THE LINE its so good.
