you know what i’m obsessed with lately? sketchy-ass portraits that eventually look.... fine

So over the past week or so, I’ve done over 200 calligraphy requests–and trust me, I’ve counted–and so I decided to make a patreon! sorry i’m physically incapable of embarking upon a (relatively large) artistic endeavor without taking huge amounts of PROGRESS PICS so here have these i guess

potato-preparing the nibs

this process to prepare nibs basically removes the protective layer of oil from the calligraphy nibs. the oil causes the ink to not flow properly, so you make this potato satellite.
