If the reader and Shouto were to ever have a serious argument about something what would it be :0

I really can't think of a scenario cuz Shouto is usually so kind, understanding, empathetic and chill >:(

Ooooh good question and I think I may have an answer!! I think probably the most feasible things are 1) Reader putting themselves in danger, or 2) misalignment on some aspect of their relationship.

A couple months ago when I was on my shit about Shouto being a Grade-A, All Natural, Grass-Fed, FDA-Certified Starer™, someone sent me an ask about Shouto staring at Reader across a party after an argument. I have most of a corresponding drabble written, but it took me forever to think of a reason why they might have a fight!! I eventually went the relationship misalignment route, with Shouto and Reader fighting about money.

Specifically, Reader does not want to merge finances due to personal insecurity. Shouto knows he belongs to Reader heart and soul and there is no risk of him leaving the relationship ever. He sees it as the most natural thing in the world that their next step would be to be one in all things, finances included, so Reader's hesitance is sort of an affront, like, do they not see this relationship the way he does?? so he spends the evening sort of brooding and watching our Reader with a laser focus. But Reader has a Past™ and their hesitance is less about their commitment to the relationship and more about overcoming their own need to protect themselves and mitigate risks; they just need to make that final jump.

I like this kind of disagreement because the heart of it is about how much two people love one another and can come to trust one another, rather than it truly being about personal differences. And I think it fits Shouto pretty well, because it's still in-line with how thoughtful and caring and bone deep good he is!!

Anywayyyy those are my initial thoughts lol. I hope this is somewhat helpful!!

when katsuki tries to subtly squeeze in physical affection once you start dating, he gives you whiplash.

most of the time, he's consistent with it. he lightly kicks at your leg under the table, sometimes presses his shoulder to yours when you're sitting on the common room couch. he flicks your forehead when you get a question wrong and ruffles your hair when you get one right. he digs a finger in your side when he passes you in the hallway, he pulls at the bottom of your tucked in uniform shirt to make you whip around and glare at him so he can laugh about it.

but sometimes, sometimes he sees you trying to fix your tie and softly shoves your hands out of the way "lemme do it." he mumbles, tutting to himself about you not knowing how to tie your own damn tie while already doing it for you.

he completely unravels it and ties it from scratch, eyes lowered and focused on the task at hand, and when it's just right he nods very subtly to himself, fastening it comfortably around your neck a final time while looking you straight in your eyes so intensely your mouth goes dry. and as he stares, his eyes lower to your neck and you feel his warm hand readjust the necklace you're wearing.

and in and instant the touch is gone. he clicks his teeth, reprimanding you with a quick flick to your forehead "learn to do this yourself, 'm not gonna do it for you." before his eyes drift away, he's shoving his (sweaty) hands in his pockets and trudging off.

despite all that though, katsuki insists on fixing your tie for you every time.

it’s so easy to forget how buff Deku is because he dresses in like oversized t-shirts and frumpy sweats when he’s not working, and he also is just not a cocky or showy person…

but every once in a while, you ask him to flex, just like when you’re sitting next to him on the couch, and he kinda laughs softly and does it for you. and you wrap your hands around the absolute cement brick of his bicep and a switch flips in your brain that turns you into a feral alley cat and before you know it, you’re biting him like an insane person and pushing at him and just begging, “fuck me, fuck me, fuck me”
