Dear Friends I present a close up photo of a creature design sculpture I made that was meant to be a kind of puppet character . This was life size and modelled in clay .
Hello dear friends, may I present in the making photo no 3 of my new sculpture called The Lost Boy Of Venice. Work has now begun on the little ghost boy and I'm slowly sculpting up the standing little figure.
There's a long way to go and at this stage it's about working out the right proportions and the pose of the little boy. I will model the figure as though he is kind of emerging out of the up right tablet before he haunt's the streets of Venice.
The round shape in the corner will be modelled in to a tambourine, the story depick's that the little boy played with this around an hour before he lost his life to become a 507 year old ghost.
I really look forward to showing photo no 4 of this project very soon and of course this will show further developments on this sculpture, I wish you a great week dear friends, Take care ππ€

At the time my friend was involved in local politics and was a local Councillor and this was his spitting image puppet. He was quite bemused when I showed him this, the sculpture was life size and i present it in a hue blue Tint photo.
I wish you a great week, keep well and Take care.

Hello dear friends, may I present an update on my sculpture Wisdom, the sculpture has really taken on the true look of my dear late Nan now. Though there is just some very fine tuning left and then very soon I will be able to present the final photograph.
There's a rosy look about the face and I'm really capturing the character and expression of my subject. Once I've finished this sculpture I will look forward very much to starting a new sculpture which I will call The Lost Boy of Venice. I'll talk more about this new project very soon once Wisdom is finally finished.
I'll look forward very much to presenting something to you again next week. Have a great Friday evening and have a great weekend, Take care.
Hello dear friends, this is a workshop photo and is a first look at my new sculpture called Wisdom. Wisdom is actually going to be a portrait sculpture of one of my late Grandmother's.
I had two very kind and beautiful Nan's, my lovely Nan Topp who was my father's Mother and my lovely Nan Tribe who was my Mums Mother. This sculpture will be a portrait of my late Nan Tribe as I just seem to have a few more photographs of her. And if I'm to create a fine likeness I need as many photos of my subject as possible.
The sculpture will be called Wisdom because as a little boy I remember feeling back then as though my dear old Nan new everything I ever asked her.
This photo shows the sculpture at stage 2 of the process, I will now begin to map at features as I start stage 3 of the sculpt. There's a long way to go but in the end this will become a very detailed life like portrait.
I hope your having a great week and I'll look forward to showing you more of this, the development on this sculpture soon, Take care.
Hello dear friends, my sculpture Wisdom from time to time has to be put on hold as I have to paint frames for my canvas wrap prints.
Today I would very much like to present the Hue blue canvas wrap print called The Egyptian Pharaoh, now fitted into it's white frame.
I created this from a photograph I took of my clay sculpture called The Egyptian Pharaoh, which was modelled in water based clay and life size.
Hope you're having a great week, the next photo I show will be the next stage of my new sculpture Wisdom, Take care.
The wooden clay armature, Hello dear friends tonight I wanted to present a photo that would be a real insight into the making of a life size sculpture.
This photo shows the life size wooden armature that I created for a previous statue I've presented on here called The Glamour Girl. This is what's inside of the clay in order to hold the sculpture in shape.
The aim of the armature is to take the weight of the clay and the armature must fit inside of the clay the same way that a skeleton fits inside the human body.
I usually create my armatures out of wood, steel brackets and nuts and bolts and once the armature is in place and the figures pose is correct. I then cover the armature with clay and slowly build up the figure and face and any clothes etc.
Of course when you look at the clay sculpture, you wouldn't know there was an armature inside, but there is and it's a very important factor of a sculpted project.
I'll post again very soon, I hope you're having a fine week, keep well and Take care βΊοΈπ
