Author Charles Soule says The Drengir are unsettling, amorphous beings, chock full of tentacles and teeth.
“The Drengir are sentient plant-life who are looking to reap a terrible harvest across the galactic frontier,” says Cavan Scott, the writer of Marvel’s upcoming series based in The High Republic. Scott later explains how the seed for this species comes from old concept art drawn by Ian McCaig.
“It’s been great to see the Drengir’s threat grow throughout the initiative,” Charles Soule says. “They are sinister, unstoppable and, as we’ll find out, inescapably linked to the fate of one of our High Republic Jedi…” he continued.

v-150 Planet Defenders were large ion cannon emplacements designed for defense against starship assault. The cannons were powerful enough to shut down large vessels, but as they were completely immobile, they were vulnerable to ground assault.
