I started saying 'fascinating.' To anything unexpected and bad, in a sarcastic 'I knew this wouldn't end well and wow it went terribly' way. Eventually it shifted to a genuine 'fascinating...' when things have gone unexpectedly bad, in an odd cartoony scientist 'oh wow I hadn't realized you could do that, how do you do that?' Highly recommend? I've started finding good and bad things genuinely interesting and also making people laugh by genuinely muttering '...fascinating..!' At any minor inconvenience and it makes life more fun!!
