what we needed in suits was filler episodes. Like wdym we had no silly stuff like christmas or beach days of the characters together đ
I think some people are reading too much into the Zava/Jamie dynamic, not in the sense that itâs not weird or condescending but in the sense that I think yâall are giving Zava too much credit. I simply donât think he cared enough about Richmond to know that much about who was their âbest playerâ because once he was there it would be him. What he does care about is the fact that only one person in that locker room was clearly not worshipping him. Dani and Jamie were both strikers and both aces but the way Zava treats them is very different, because Dani worships the ground he walks on and Jamie doesnât. And letâs be real, Jamie doesnât have the locker room influence that he used to. In S1, sure, he was the king, but he lost that cred after returning to Man City, and when he came back to Richmond, he wasnât able to claw it back until the Dubai Air protest. Even after that, his influence is enough to have a good camaraderie and be respected as a teammate and leader, but itâs not the âbully the kitman because it makes me laughâ influence that he had before. If anyone has that influence after S1, itâs Isaac, Sam, and Dani, but Zava sees no need to condescend to them because theyâre already on his side. The way Zava acts toward Jamie doesnât read to me as âI took your spot, what are you gonna do about it,â it reads much more as âthey all love me, you should get with the program.â Itâs in no way a fight for dominance, mainly because Jamie isnât really fighting back. Itâs more like a cult leader trying to force an unwilling sheep into the flock. (And Rebecca, the only other person that doesnât like him, is spared this treatment because A sheâs a woman and B she sits in a position of power external to the dynamics of the team and coaching staff.)
idk i feel like dexter could've poor little meow meowed his way out of the electric chair if he'd really put his mind to it
I'm on the episode where Harvey is back at home to try and mend shit with his mom
It's insane the way his family are pure shit like
Like it's all his fault this is crazy
I know the writers are not stellar but damn y'all cut Harvey some goddamn slack he deserves a better family jesus christ
"harvey specter is so cool" wrong. he's actually a loser. he cries and has panic attacks at the idea of people leaving him and he has mommy issues and abandonment issues and claims he doesn't care (and winds up caring a lot). his boytoy associate gets a girlfriend and he actively glares at her like he's twelve years old or something. he won't give up on his crooked, corrupted mentor because he was my mentor he was my mentor he was my mentor. he has all these basketballs and baseballs in his office and he also boxes. he boxes. (kinda gay to box. why do u want to get in the ring with a sweaty man, harvey.) he wears a fucking vest. he wears a fucking vest. he uses fucking hair gel. hair gel. hair gel. he rent his ex's friend's mike's old apartment in the hopes that he'll finally come back. he looks like he's about to cry whenever someone mentions that mike might not be around. like come on. his middle name is fucking REGINALD
Harvey giving off a little bit of the nerdy theatre kid energy without actually ever being one with all pop culture references and his best friend and wife being an actress and a totally such a theatre nerd too.
Funny thing is a lot of people would be surprised about the amount lawyers that are former theatre and the amount of entertainment professionals were/are into fandom culture.
His parents literally being professional artists for the living, a painter and musician and might have actually supported him if he did it as a kid and maybe adult.
But it also seems like they struggled to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table at times and might not have wanted that for him too.

rewatching tfatws from a new more down bad perspective
i donât understand the lack of harvey centric hurt/comfort fics like how do you not take this man with walls around his heart as high and sturdy as the ivy tower he has made a home for himself in so no one could hurt him anymore and also so he could protect the ones he loves â because he loves and he cares so deeply and so violently, he doesnât know what to do with it and neither do his people because theyâre so ready to believe the mask they canât even see anymore because heâs so high up and untouchable. how do you not take this man with his fragile walls that are so ready to be torn down, this man who is so scared of being alone, this man who yells that people donât leave him â and this man who, when they do, stands frozen to the spot because his world is so frail it might as well be made of glass. and glass is useful to watch those you love but it breaks so easily â and itâs a good thing you can still watch your people through broken glass but up here the winds are cold and relentless and your people wonât hear you when you ask for help.
how do you not take harvey specter, the cockiest son of a bitch in new york city who has it all because he worked for it, who came from nothing and worked his way up, whom people are so ready and willing to beat and betray because they see his name as a trophy without knowing that he cares so deeply that itâs his heart on the line more than his name. how do you not take harvey fucking specter and make him wonder if any of this is even worth it. how do you not take this man and inflict pain and betrayal upon his fragile little heart â fragile, because he had to fend for himself from such a young age, he doesnât know how to ask for help anymore.
how do you not inflict pain upon him because he can take it and he will take it and he takes it and he takes it â until he canât anymore; but even then he will, because he is harvey specter, and the world knows. he can take it. and he has to.
How it feels remembering that no one thought anything of Tony showing signs of being suicidal in iron man 2 because he just âacted like that all the timeâ
