... You know, I've found it hard to find true disdain for this planet. Of course, I feel that same melancholic homesickness most non-earthly entities do when left to reflect too long on not being home. But, I actually do love it here, for all of the troubles and triumphs I've lived.

... I'm a Sidereal. A star fallen to Earth, whose soul and spirit mixed with the debris of this planet, thus anchoring my body to this planet. My job for now is for experience change, to change my form, and find singularity. In many ways, I'd imagine it isn't unlike stellar evolution. It is in our nature to change, then die. In that way, we're quite like human earthlings.

... So, I try to take it in stride. It's also helped by the fact that I am a Milky Way star, and specifically one near to Earth (likely only just scratching the double digits in billions light years). Stars are passive observers. I am an observer. Light takes a while to travel, yes, but of what little I can concretely remember, I've always found the evolution of human beings deeply fascinating. So getting to be part of that to a small extent is warming, I feel. It's nice.

thinking about the time i was on a camping trip in north carolina. we were on a hike through a forest and theres a little side trail that goes up a hill. me n some friends go up to check it out. pretty plants and an abandoned chicken coop thing + house. i was one of like 2-3 people who were gonna walk up to the door and look inside, the foundation looked really unstable so others were more cautious. all of a sudden a giant black thing bursts out of the doorframe. vulture, although it looked like a cat or dog or crow for a second.

i wish i was that. that decaying house could be my home and i could live in the beautiful forests of north carolina.

I just wanna be a dog in a forest meadow near a creek. Splashing and barking as I play in the cool water, hearing the birds in the trees, running through the grassy meadow and taking a nap in the warm sun

i think mine are closer to envisage shifts usually, but my actual phantom limbs are often my tail wagging and feeling my wings and ears twitching. its accompanied by a need to move/run around. this doesnt work great because i usually shift on car rides for some reason. probably because i like to think in the car and i end up thinking about shifting.

Question to the community: what do phantom shifts feel like for you all? What even if the determining factor, for you, that you are non-alterhuman/otherkin/therian??

For too long I've been hidden. But I may have found a place to start shining. I've taken a liking to the #alterhuman community...you all are so open minded to those who are different. And I believe those of us who are alterhuman have unusual gifts that the outside world hasn't really realized or appreciated....

I think alterhumans:

Are more sensitive to their true identity (or identities)

May also be more sensitive to other conscious beings in some way or another (plurality)

Are aware that there's more than these eyes can see

Are incredibly, beautifully diverse in our identities

Are so incredibly brave and strong inside

Have a unique kind of intelligence

Each alterhuman has their own unique gifts
