Yes absolutely!! Because there’s a word for that: otherhearted! Basically, it’s where you connect with an animal, a fictional character/species, whatever. An otherhearted person doesn’t believe they are the animal or fictional being like a therian does, just that they relate to them or connect with them in some way. If that sounds right for you, then hell yeah <3

Alterhumans! Anonymously Share Your Story!

To anyone who is afraid of posting their story on their account or is hoping for the chance to have their story reach more people, you can just share your story in my ask box! I have the settings so that you can do it anonymously if you hit the button, or opt not to if that's what you prefer

You can also use my ask box to ask me questions you have about alterhumanity, requests for coming a label you would like to have out there, anonymously share your opinions about problems within the community, or even simply ask me to make a post about a lesser known label to help spread awareness

I believe that it's important to get your story out there because:

It can help people with similar experiences feel less alone

Your experiences can help guide newly awakened alterhumans

By sharing what signs led you to find what you identify as/with, you may help other alterhumans discover their identity

For those with uncommon identities, sharing your story can help normalize diverse identities within the alterhuman community

How do we feel about xenogenders and neopronouns/xenopronouns?

Musisonar / Echosonar / Vibrisonar / Sonar: An alterhuman identity where one identifies as / with at some way with specific song(s).

It is not only an alternative for songkin (because I am uncomfortable with this term), but also an umbrella for other types of alterhumanity, such as vaguetypes, caedtypes, hearttypes and linktypes connected to the song(s)

The "-type" term of it will be: sonartype or pitch. ( My pitch / sonartype is [name]; I am a sonar; )

Musi-, Echo- and Vibri- might be just an alternative names for the Sonar term, or a descriptor of connection to the song. - Musi - High / Full connection - Echo - Low / Unknown / ETC connection - Vibro - Medium / Partial connection

A small tut on how i made my ear wings

Under the cut bcuz theres a bunch of pics and i don’t wanna clutter people’s feed

List of things you’ll need:

Foam sheet/cardboard -> for the base

feathers (i used these :

Scissors

Glue (i used hot glue)

A headband

STEP 1:

Cut out the base (i recommend using a real wing as a reference. The height of the base of the wing should be a bit bigger than the height of your ear.

i labelled them left and right, but it’s pretty useless to do that.

STEP 2:

I painted the base white because the feathers aren’t opaque, and we could see the purple of the base.

STEP 3:

It’s time to glue the long feathers on! Make sure to position them before gluing, to make sure they look ok. Make sure to to follow those handy guide!

STEP 4:

Position the second (round) layer of feathers! I fold over any feather that went over the base on the top, to keep it looking clean.

STEP 5:

Now is the time to add the fluffy feathers if you want to!

STEP 6:

Time for the back! You can either leave it white or put feathers on the back too. You can use the same template, or a reference of a real wing.

STEP 7:

Almost done! It’s time to attach them to the headband. If the one you have is made of plastic and is smooth, you should wrap some thread around it and glue it to the headband before the wings, so that the wings won’t detach

This is the pink thread i used, it’s embroidery thread. I used about the length of my arm for each side, and i then lathered it in hot glue. Not super clean, but it works.

MAKE SURE YOU VERIFY THE PLACEMENT OF THE WINGS BEFORE GLUING THEM!!!!

Next, the actual attaching. You can glue the ears directly onto the headband, or use a paperclip (this will make them move , so i don’t recommend using that).

STEP 8:

Wow! Your wings are done! Good job :3
