so i heard it was gazebo day yesterday…👀👀👀 whoopsie daisy i missed it.

gosh darn it, guess i gotta make up for it by fully rendering this sketch that i really, really liked (when time permits lmao) oh phooey :)

i have to write a short paper about a characters relationship with death in connection to the 4 strands of Ernest Becker’s “Denial of Death” philosophy and i have never been more excited to do an assignment ever.

Written in the summer of 2022, boarded from May to early August of 2024, and then sitting on my laptop until now, this animatic is labor of love and wish fulfillment. 💕✨

IT’S DONE. OMG IT’S DONE. IM FREEEEE and I can actually admit I’m really happy with the result. I learned so much from doing this one project and I think it’s definitely given me some of the artistic confidence I had lost over the last two years. 

My intention was to get as close as I could to this being like a “missing scene” from Bridgerton by studying writing to the cinematography and I’m so glad to finally put it out there. Enjoy! 💕

If I had the energy and time, I would make an animatic of this entire chapter’s conversation. The dialogue and writing is just screaming to be acted out.

Also, I can’t help but think the song “Bad Idea” from the musical “Waitress” is perfect for their dynamic in this particular story, especially for Kate.

we all know about them matching colors, BUT HIM ADOPTING INDIAN PATTERNS???

he is not longer “Viscount Anthony Bridgerton”

he wants everybody to know, without a shadow of doubt, that he is now, in fact, “Anthony, Husband to Viscountess Kathani Bridgerton”

that is the only title he cares about at this point and i 100% support him on that.

the sketch kinda got away from me, but im really glad i got to just let go and experiment with blending modes and just not take things so seriously for once.

maybe ill get around to cleaning it and make it into something more or maybe ill just leave it as is. (tbh my brain was turned off when designing the outfits so im not 100% about them and i might redesign that bit)
