This is a low shot, but can someone beta my dead boy detectives fic? (Painland fic, it was supposed to be focused on Charles but I also drifted a bit with Edwin's pov on him)

My beta coincidentally can't right now for reason I'm very much amused by, I just really want to post the fic sometimes during tomorrow (the day starts soon in my country) *on my birthday*(!!!!) so I want to finish it fast.

It's not finished right now but it's mostly done and I will love to get some advices, I'll finish it first thing tomorrow probably if I can.

Edit: it's just with 3,951 words now, after I'll finish though it will probably be a few hundreds passed 5,000 so there is that too. It's not an extremely long fic, it's a relatively short one really.

Me realizing a few moments later: oh wait in his life? So no.

Omg now I'm thinking about Peter B and how was he behaving when MJ was in labour. I bet he was screaming more than she did. He was probably trying to be supportive but he's also never been this scared in his entire life. Until he got to hold the baby, that's when paternal instinct kicked in.

I need to know if he was able to sense that she's a spider person too the moment she was born or was it later, cuz imagine that it would've been the cutest thing ever - him holding his newborn baby girl for the first time and his spider sense tells him she's just like him.

I have mentioned in my previous post how everyone related to the biological bat family is Jewish, but I need to talk a moment about Damian Wayne's aunts.

Because this boy has 5 Jewish aunts. And not just from Bruce's side.

Let's review them, alright?

1. One of the most famous out of them, Kate Kane aka Batwoman. The Jewish icon and Bruce's cousin. (Once removed or-something still counts!)

2. Beth Kane or Red Alice, Kate's twin. She's his aunt as well, the same as Kate.

3. Bette Kane, aka flamebird, another cousin of Bruce. Also shares the same Jewish blood.

Just wait, now is the more interesting part I've been waiting for:

4. Nyssa Raatco. (Very different from the Arrowverse version).

Talia's older sister. Daughter of Ra's Al Ghul and her Jewish mom. A badass Jewish Arab assassin, and one of my favorite Jewish aunts of Damian.

And the last one might be more controversial, because I know she's *technically* not family but still

Harey Quinn is the 5 Jewish aunt of Damian I'LL DIE DEFENDING IT.

DC fans don't get mad at me I know Harley is not batfamily I just think she's an aunt figure to Damian. She's not part of the whole batfam, she's his aunt exclusively. She's Damian's fifth Jewish aunt fight me.

Long time headcanon of mine:

During the super sons era Damian turned Jon vegetarian. He lectured Jon the farm boy that he is that he's eating his animal friends and terrify Jon.

"What do you mean I'm eating a cow?! I have a cow in my family farm I know😭"

"Yeah by eating that stake you're eating your Nancy! And also Batcow!"

Damian would definitely use Jon's big heart and his shared love for animals to get him stop eating meat (good for him!).

Charles Rowland and Edwin Payne are so real, I too would've avoided understanding my sexuality or confronting with my trauma for decades.

A question that doesn't leave my head-

In Lazarus Planet Dark Fate Xanthe mentioned that Cass is the only bat in this side of town, "this" referring to Chinatown.

Did the Batfamily when dividing Gotham who-covers-what while patrolling just gave Cass Chinatown because she is Asian? Or did Cass chose it herself?

Not an Asian person here, but this is from what I know about Cass.

She didn't really grow up connected to her heritage and her people, I don't believe David, her white father, taught her anything about her heritage. So she might not feel that connected this place and her people. And she was only handed this part of town.

It makes sense to have an organized division of Gotham to cover for patrols where everyone is assigned their own part of town to cover. I can see it happening.

And I can see her choosing this place herself because looking at people who looks like her makes her feel belong, she chose this place herself to go away a little from everyone.

I'm just guessing.

I feel it would be funny if she was just assigned Chinatown because she's Asian, Bruce having no sensitivity about this type of thing and is just naively blunt, but I prefer the second explanation in story terms more.

what they don't tell you about making friends is you gotta be a lil annoying. you gotta push past the fear of "what if they don't want to talk to me" and simply ask someone how their day is going, send a meme. you cannot connect to people if you're both just awkwardly waiting for the other to start.
