Same here, as much as I adore Fem!Griande but Griande is just Grian crossdressing just hits differently for me and I love that Headcanon.

grumbo with fem!griande is surely soft and cute but i love grumbo with crosdressed grian!griande SO MUCH.

IT WAS MEANT TO BE A ONE-TIME JOKE. firstly, grian used this skin in sahara's newscast. as a pun. because grian likes puns. and that's it.

and it just so happened that mumbo got into trouble with his intro music and copyright strikes. and grian had that costume he wore recently for his video, and... it just so happened that it was a pun with a singer, and... you know. JUST to cheer mumbo up. one time only.

grian made mumbo a new intro and mumbo NEVER used it or even aknowledged it existence, and -- well, i believe so -- some time later grian was hit with so much shame and cringe that he decided to never wear it again.

uugh. years later. he was showing off his collection to scar. and. he found this costume. and cringed again, tried it on for one sec and put it away, this time forever.

grian was shamed for his appearance before, both in character (in YHS for different reasons) and irl (for femininity), but i think if his significant other said something about it being pretty he could've worn it again.

imagine him being complimented about it from someone he deeply cares about, who he wanted to impress with it to begin with. him, feeling a bit more comfortable with something he was happy about but what he chose to hide later because of lack of reaction from mumbo and strange reactions from others.

it's something that makes him feel good.

while fem!griande is the fandom classic, male!griande enriches grian's character so much from an unexpected side and i'm A FAN. for me it's crossdressed grian forever
