As your wife checks her appearance one last time in the mirror before being picked up for her date with your boss, you can sense how excited and nervous she is. You are too. This could end up being a very big night for both of you. When she first started dating your boss about a year ago and quickly became his regular girlfriend, it resulted in a nice promotion at work for you -- albeit one that involved a lot out out-of-town travel for you. And then when talk of her becoming pregnant by him began, it meant you had to get a vasectomy -- but you also know that when she shows a positive pregnancy test, it will mean another big promotion for you -- and a transfer to a managerial post out of the country for a couple of years, during which time she will move in with him and live as his wife -- which is something she is happy and eager to do.
