This dress was on a strangers hotel room floor last night. Just sayin.

It was almost exactly a year ago -- late one afternoon on the third or fourth day of your honeymoon -- that you and your wife stumbled by chance upon a charity auction being held down the beach from your hotel -- an auction event unlike any either of you had ever seen before. It was listed on the program as a "Cuckold's Auction", and what was being auctioned were men's wives, and the winning bidder for each woman was promised between one and six days (and nights) with the woman. Most of the bidders were wealthy businessmen, and so the winning bids tended to be quite high -- but of course, because all proceeds went to a local charity, that cost could be written off as a business or charitable donation expense. Some of the bidders, however, were young men, who often pooled their money to try to secure a winning bid for at least one of them.

You and your new wife had watched the event for over an hour, and were astonished that so many couples had entered the wife as a to-be-auctioned-off woman. And while some of the husbands did seem to be experiencing pangs of shame, and in some cases even regret, as they brought their wives onto the stage, others seemed quite proud of how eager many of the bidding men were to spend money to be able to have a few nights with the cuckold's wife.

You and your wife laughed about what you had witnessed a lot after the event, and you even said on a number of occasions that you would never be willing to offer your own wife up for auction at an event like that. But as the months since your honeymoon passed, your wife started to drop hints that the idea of her being bid on excited her -- and eventually she was successful in convincing you that since it was "just sex" and "all for charity" that the two of you should return to celebrate your one-year anniversary at the same location as your honeymoon, and that she should enter the auction.

And although you expressed second thoughts several times before the vacation began, and again just before the auction itself, your wife was adamant it was what she thought she should do -- "for charity" -- and ultimately, you had no choice but to go along with her wishes.
