Funny how we regularly turn down job applications for law student internships for having a typo in their cover letters but having three different women publicly accuse you of sexual assault doesn’t stop you from being hired for the highest possible legal job in the country
“I struggle with a lot of the books/youtube channels on this subject as they tend to relate to people that focus their entire life on sustainability, rather than people that incorporate sustainable habits into their normal life.”
^it’s about being mindful, not giving yourself grief every time you forget to bring a reusable cup with you. Love this.
Do you have any tips for someone who's interested in a more sustainable lifestyle but not sure where to start?
I would suggest spending a bit of time watching some youtube videos and reading some books about it. The book ‘Zero Waste Home’ by Bea Johnson is a good starting point, and the ebook is inexpensive. I will paste a link HERE to a list of youtube channels that talk about living low waste / sustainably.
When you are ready, you can start making small changes like carrying a water bottle or coffee cup, and buying products in less packaging.
Just remember that you don’t have to make every single change at once, and it’s also totally okay if there are certain changes that you don’t want to make at all. Use the resources for ideas/inspiration - not as an exact guide!

Small changes can still make a huge difference, don’t underestimate them :)
Too beautiful not to reblog

Oh my gosh! I love this!
Okay so I just finished my first semester in university and lets just say I’ve got to change my whole learning/studying style to be able to survive here. Here are some of the things I’ve learnt to do and will be doing in second semester:
1. Start backwards:
I highschool, you try to learn the subject by going to class, listening to the teacher, then going home, reading the textbook, then doing the homework, then making notes, then studying for the final. In engineering, you have to do this backwards: You will realize that you are going to be basically teaching yourself the content one way or another soon before the finals, so better start now. First, go through the past exams and past papers - make a list of all the major topics covered (example: if in an electrical circuits course, a question on a past final exam is “find the equivalent circuit using thevenin’s theorem” then write Thevenin’s theorem as a topic to be learned). Then go on youtube and find videos that explain each of these topics to you and make rough notes on these topics. (Reblog if you want me to make a master list of all the youtubers that teach engineering really well). Then go through he textbook and find sample questions not he theorem/topic you learnt off of youtube, and solve them. Then write your doubts in a notebook. Then go to class and have two notebooks open : one where you are taking notes of what the prof is saying, and one which has your practice problems solved, and see if the prof clarifies your doubts in the lecture. The lecture should be review of what you learnt at home!!!! Then, after class go to the prof and clarify any doubts. Then go home and make final notes on the topic. I like to make notes on cue cards (more on this later). Then go back to the final exam and see if you can solve the problem.
2. Make cue cards:
I like to get index cards and write a short note on how to solve each type of question I am likely to see on a final exam on each question card. Example: one cue card for “how to find resistance using wheatstone bridge” . I link the cue cards with a clip and its easier to carry the around and study.
3. Get pretty notebooks and organize your stationary. Its easier to stay focused when everything is pretty.
Me: I have to go out for just five minutes
Me: I'll take 10 books with me, who knows what might happen

Hi! I was wondering if you could give me a few tips on how to tell what’s the mbti type of a person without having to tell them to take the test! Thanks!
The most important thing you can do is listen to what they say instead of look at what they do.
Do they frequently mention how important they think it is to pay attention to what has and hasn’t worked in the past? Do they find tradition comforting? Are they good with details? Most likely high Si and low Ne.
Are they great at brainstorming? Do they love to look at things in a new light? Can they see multiple ways of looking at many things? Do they enjoy talking about far-flung, unrealistic ideas just because they’re interesting? Most likely high Ne and low Si.
Are they good at knowing how events will develop? Do they plan far into the future and fixate on a goal that is important to them? Do they look for meaning and symbolism in things? Most likely high Ni and low Se.
Are they great at jumping on opportunities? Do they love physical thrills and material comforts? Are they present, paying attention to what is going on around them? Are they impatient and action-oriented, preferring to be spontaneous than to come up with a detailed plan? Most likely high Se and low Ni.
Are they great at noticing logical inconsistencies? Do they ask a lot of “why” questions and enjoy knowing how things work and why things are the way they are? Do they often question the accuracy of the information they are given and refuse to accept anything that does not make sense to them? Most likely high Ti and low Fe.
Do they often mention how important it is to help others? Are they great at making other people feel at ease in social situations? Do they express their feelings, opinions, and emotions in the moment? Do they tend to focus on the group and encouraging everyone in it? Most likely high Fe and low Ti.
Do they seem passionate and emotional but at the same time reserved in some way? Do they have difficulty putting how they feel into words and need time to think before talking about it? Do they often mention how important it is to them to have personal freedom and do what they believe is right? Most likely high Fi and low Te.
Are they great at making plans and getting things done fast? Are they impatient, competitive, and hard-working? Do they often focus on accomplishing things the most efficient and logical way regardless of who gets offended? Most likely high Te and low Fi.
Pick the two above that best fit the person you are trying to type and then think about whether the high extroverted function or high introverted function fits them better. That should leave you with one type. Hope this helps! :)
Is this heaven?
