An almost off-camera appearance of the male cardinal this afternoon. It also looks like the camera has rotated some, hopefully the squirrels are staying out of the feeder!

Scrub jays along the trail in Cruickshank Sanctuary. Some of the birds are incredibly friendly and get close up for some glamour shots.

A winning combo: the catbird returns and then a male red bellied woodpecker joins the party!
Talk about knowing how to find your light! A lovely midday visit from the female northern cardinal.
Side eye from a singular killdeer.

A skink on the side of the trail in the Cruickshank Sanctuary on 3/11/23.
Back with a special appearance from two of my favorite woodpeckers.
It wouldn’t be a good morning without a visit from the pair of cardinals at the bird buddy. There’s a bit of a pause after the male leaves before the female shows up today.
Coming in hot! The videos don’t always capture the bird flying into the feeder so this was a nice surprise!
