The female painted bunting is back today, waiting out the rain on the bird buddy. I’d never seen a painted bunting before yesterday and now we’ve had so many sightings!
Another lovely surprise at the bird buddy this morning, a male painted bunting!
The most recent bird buddy visitor: a female northern cardinal!
Silhouette of a belted kingfisher. We’ve seen the seemingly same female kingfisher several times in the same location along the drive, I love seeing her each time!

A rush at the buffet today! Two cardinals showed up at the same time! How nice!
The quickest of visitors at the bird buddy this morning: a common grackle caught leaving and then a cardinal stops by for a moment a bit later in the video.
A candidate for the worst birder pic. You may not believe it but there were two red bellied woodpeckers on this Hong Kong orchid. It was lovely to see in person but given this photo, you’ll just have to trust me.
I love a twofer! It’s so cool seeing two cardinals share the feeder!
