“Let me take care of you.”
Keith: Shiro is my friend, and if I love him, it’s the way I would love an older brother.
Pidge: I have an older brother, and if he looked at me the way you look at Shiro, I would have to talk to our parents.
Anyway, Shiro and Keith’s relationship directly parallels Kogane and Krolia’s, and I’m so damn here for it. But of course, there’s also this big glaring thing, which killed me:
Another remake of a piece I made back in 2017 (here's the link to the original:)
I really like making these re-draw, because I can 1) revisit lots of beloved concepts and ideas and 2) see how I improved since drawing something for the first time.
One drunken confession, two scared boys and a cliffhanger
“ʜᴇ'ꜱ ɪɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʜᴀɴᴅꜱ ɴᴏᴡ. ᴘʟᴇᴀꜱᴇ, ᴋᴇᴇᴘ ʜɪᴍ ꜱᴀꜰᴇ”
Fangy Boyfriends 🦷 ❤️🖤 something rough to help with stress and because drawing sheith makes me happy 😊
Shiro was either abandoned by his parents because of his disease, or he’s one of the failed project kuron clones that somehow ended up on earth, cuz we know nothing of his family and cuz Shiro has this thing that he needs to be needed and he doesn’t want to be useless.
Because of his disease he kinda wanted to prove everyone he’s worth something and that he’s strong and can achieve things everyone probably told him he can never do.
And that is also why he could understand Keith back then when he met him, because he knew that Keith was pushing ppl away by doin all those bad things because he was afraid of rejection, so he pushed ppl away before they had a chance to reject him.
Shiro was doing things out of the same reason, not wanting to ever feel abandoned. But he was not doing that by making trouble like Keith but was always trying to be as needed as he can be. You know this strong leader that takes care of everyone and stuff. He kinda pushes Adam away because he felt like he was being abandoned there too in a way probably.
So both of Keith and Shiro’s biggest fear was abandonment.
So looking back you really see how Keith and Shiro saved eachother and how much their support of eachother and the ‘I will never give up on you’ meant to both of them.
This is a such a beautiful love story, with so much thought that went into it.
