synopsis !! zhongli neglects to inform his friends that he's married.
contains !! they/them reader but referred to as wife, comedic dialogue

Perhaps it's the fact that you've been married for centuries that informing others didn't seem to be a priority for Zhongli.
It wasn't obvious either. He had his day job and you had yours. To regular couples, the amount of distance you two spend would be a little strange, but time is something you have in abundance so it didn't really matter when you spend a few days apart doing your day jobs.
It was Hutao who brought it up the on the evening's Lantern Rite dinner.
"Aiyaya, it seems like everybody alive and dead has a date for this year's lantern rite."
"Hahaha! And here we are celebrating a feast with new and old friends. It doesn't sound like much of a loss to me." Venti laugjs, pouring himself a drink that threatens to overflow from his hand.
"I'm not saying it's a loss, I'm simply wondering wouldn't some of you want to spend the night with a special someone?" She smirks, eyes scanning the group. Chongyun coughs into his cup as Xiao averts his gaze from the troublemaker.
"If you're asking for my opinion, I'd say everyone here is quite special to me," Lumine smiles warmly before glancing at the two archons and yaksha, "I'm sure there's still time for dating in the future. We're not that old."
"Well. . ." Hutao turns to Zhongli. He raises a brow, placing down his cup.
"May I ask why you're staring at me, Director Hu?"
"No reason~ It's just, as your boss, of course I'm a little bit concerned. Aren't you wasting your youth by not going out on dates, mister Zhongli? I'm sure there's a line of Liyuens who would love to–"
A burst of laughter comes from the green bard. "Oh, him? On a Lantern Rite date with someone else? (Name) would surely kill him."
"(Name)?" Everyone questions.
"Huh? He didn't tell you?" Venti tilts his head.
Zhongli coughs, "Ah. . . Please don't be concerned about my dating life, Director Hu. After all, I am already married."
Silence.
A cup drops.
Tea spills (literally).
Then,
"Married?!" The restaurant shakes as Hutao and Lumine jolt upright, hands slamming the table.
"Married." Zhongli confirms.
"What! For how long? When? What's their name? Why have you never–"
Zhongli hushes, trying to calm his boss from jumping over the table. His face dusts a light pink, perhaps embarrassed by the whole ordeal.
"For a few. . . years now. As you know, they're (Name). And as for why I never mentioned my wife. . ." He glances at the crowd, ". . . I simply forgot."
"You. . . forgot," Xingqiu slowly repeats.
"Yes, it seems I've forgotten to inform everyone. Then again, is it not obvious that I'm a married man?"
Chongyun covers his face in his hands, processing the whole ordeal, "Thinking back. . . mister Zhongli always had a domestic kind of aura. It seems so obvious now."
"Wait, wait, wait! How come I didn't know about this? We work together almost everyday! And why does Venti know! Didn't you two just met! Do you even have a ring?" Hutao interjects, flabbergasted as Zhongli and Venti freezes.
In truth, he does have a ring. One he carved himself made of only the most precious of jade and metal. It has rested under his glove for centuries—
Under his glove also hides his draconic arms, golden veins against dark brown, almost scale-like skin. Proof of a entity greater than human.
"Ehe. . . about that," Venti nervously looks away, "I've actually. . . met his wife before!" He covers up, voice laced with enthusiasm.
"Yes, yes, my wife is quite fond of Mondstadt's songs. They've frequently visited the nation before."
"And you don't come along?" Xiangling asks.
"I don't."
The group blinks.
"And what about the ring? I never see you wear a wedding ring." Hutao narrows her eyes.
"That's because I don't wear it." He answers bluntly.
". . . and you never introduced them to us because. . .?" Lumine questions.
"Because . . . I haven't had the time to?"
Hutao rests back on her chair, her eyes glazed in judgment, "No offense mister Zhongli, but you seem like a terrible husband. If you don't get your act straight, I'd say your marriage won't last."
His jaw drops. Venti laughs.

❝NOTE: Hello hello to @kaeyas-beloved! You were my secret Santa for the Genshin Impact Secret Santa event! I decided to write a Kaeya fic for you and I hope that you enjoy it lovely! <3
“Oh? What do we have here?” Kaeya closes the door to your office behind him. “Yet again another letter?” He recognizes the familiar white envelope. You had it in your hands while reading the letter that was inside it. You don’t look up from the letter and only nod. Kaeya finally reaches your desk and leans against it with his arms crossed.
“Found it this morning. I finally had time to read it.” You say.
“What did our friend say this time?” Kaeya asks, trying to read the letter alongside you but not having a good angle to make out the words. “He hasn’t run out of things to say, especially after five months of daily letters.”
“My dear beloved. I appreciate the work you do in order to keep us safe as much as I appreciate your entire being.” Kaeya stops all of a sudden and finishes the letter in silence. “You need to figure out who this guy is. Come now. You mean to tell me in five months you haven’t had a day off to find out the sender?” Kaeya places both of his hands on your desk. You scratch your head, unsure about it. Kaeya raises his eyebrow. You sigh, pushing your chair back and standing up to stretch.
“Trust me, I have. But every time I try to think, there’s no one that comes to mind.” You tap your finger on the stack of papers sitting on the desk. “And work hasn’t been so kind to me lately.” Kaeya’s eye travels down and he chuckles.
“Alright alright.” He holds his hands up in defense. “Point taken. There are many possibilities. I wouldn’t even know where to start.” Kaeya glances at the letter still in his hand and back at you who started shuffling papers into a neat pile.
“If you want to get a lead on it, be my guest.” You set the stack aside and grab another one, flipping through the pages.
“In that case. Do you mind if I take this with me?” Kaeya raises the letter up. “I’ll bring it back. I know you like to keep them.” You agree, giving permission for Kaeya to do as he likes.
He’s gone but not before letting you know he’d be in the library in case you need him. You decide to finish up the current stack and then you’d go see what Kaeya was up to. It would also give you the opportunity to check out a new book. You make your way to the library and there’s Kaeya sitting at one of the many tables.
His materials are laying on the table. He has your letter, a separate sheet of paper which he currently writes on, and a pen in hand. Kaeya seems to be reading the letter and writes down a couple notes. You head for the stairs, careful to not disrupt him.
“What are you working on?” You hover over his shoulder to get a glance. He stops writing,
“I’m coming up with a list of who it could be.” Kaeya answers and taps the end of the pen on the paper. You look at the list Kaeya came up with. In the first bullet, Kaeya wrote Timaeus. He was followed up by Diluc in the second bullet. The list had a huge range of different names. In total, he had six names written down. “Think of me as your partner.”
“I’m sorry. Diluc and Liyue?” You pointed to where Kaeya had written Liyue under Albedo’s name. “Liyue is an entire region if you didn’t know.”
“No no.” Kaeya starts, “I always forget his name. The guy we met in Liyue. He was part of the Fatui and was around the guy with the Geo vision.” You scoff and pull out the chair next to him to sit down.
“Childe? That literally makes no sense.” You said, “It’s obvious he lives in Mondstadt. Especially after today’s letter. Childe’s located in Liyue which wouldn’t make sense if he’s thanking me for all the work I do. He probably doesn’t even know I have a Pyro vision.”
“A carrier pigeon can get a letter here in roughly ten hours give or take.” Kaeya counts on his fingers. “Whereas on foot, it would be a day trip. That’s only if there are no complications along the way.”
“You said it yourself. Day trip without any complications. Which means, the way back is a day trip too.” You counter, “And doesn’t sound like you’re including rest stops either. Keeping up that routine for five months? I think I’d rather confess.” Kaeya lets out a laugh.
“You caught me. I just wanted to have an excuse to go to Liyue with you again.” Kaeya strikes through ‘Liyue’, leaving the list to only five people now. “Never fail to live up to your title, strategist.”
“All you had to do was tell me you wanted to visit Liyue again.” You lean your head into your hand with a smile. Kaeya copies your action in a teasing manner.
“There’s a lot of things I would like to tell you.” Kaeya then slides the list over to your side of the table. “As for Diluc, don’t you agree that the words used in all the letters are part of his normal vocabulary?” He was right on that part. The words did come off as professional and sophisticated. You pick up the list.
“I’ll give you that one.” You said, checking the list for a second time. “I highly doubt it’s Diluc though. We get along well to a certain extent.”
“I put Timaeus first because he said you were his favorite knight.” Kaeya points to the top. “And what has the sender expressed multiple times? You are his favorite knight. It makes Timaeus the top suspect.” You check the rest of the list. Bennett, Venti, and Albedo were the remaining names. All better leads than what you could come up with.
“Get off work yet?” You asked Kaeya, tearing your gaze away from the list. “We can start going down the list today.” Kaeya stands up from his chair, extending his hand out to you.
“I was never on for today.” He says once you take his hand. You and Kaeya say your goodbyes to a group of knights at the door. Kaeya continues to give his reasons for the rest of the people on the list.
He added Albedo since he invited you to dinner once. Although you’d told him nothing romantic happened, Kaeya said, ‘Maybe not for you’. Bennett was on the list because he said your position as the strategist was amazing.
Now in the city, you find Timaeus at Good Hunter, ordering food. He’s the first in line and once he’s done, starts walking back to the crafting stand. He begins fixing up his shelf of books.
“Let’s go up to him now. That way once his food is ready, we won’t be bothering him.” You begin walking over to Timaeus, Kaeya right behind you. “Timaeus, how are you?” He slides a book back in the correct spot.
“I wasn’t expecting to be visited by you two today.” Timaeus greets you and Kaeya. He picks up one of the books near the crafting table. “How can I be of assistance?” Kaeya hands him your daily love letter.
“Mind reading this for us?” Kaeya asks, “We’ll be on our way once you’re done.” Timaeus skims the letter and agrees.
“My dear beloved. I appreciate the work you do in order to keep us safe as much as I appreciate your entire being.” Timaeus is careful to not mess up as he reads. You aren’t feeling much of a reaction as he finishes up reading the letter. His composure is still the same and didn’t chance in the slightest.
You look at Kaeya and shake your head. He mentally marks off Timaeus from the list and takes the letter back.
“Thanks for your time. We’ll be leaving now.” You and Kaeya leave a puzzled Timaeus alone. Not having much to worry about, he goes back to fixing his bookshelf. “I think he’s a normal fan with a normal appreciation of me.” You tell Kaeya once you two are a distance away from Timaeus. Kaeya throws his arm around your shoulder and brings out the list. He opens it with his free hand.
“Then our next trip is to Angel’s Share.” Kaeya says, “Let’s see if Diluc’s still there.”
“What do you two want?” Diluc doesn’t seem pleased that Kaeya is his guest for the day. Kaeya outstretched his arms,
“Is that any way to greet us? Especially the lengths we came to see you?” Diluc exhales. “We only wanted to ask you to do a simple favor for us.”
Charles told you and Kaeya that Diluc had gone back to the Dawn Winery. Venti was there performing so you thought it was a good idea to stay until he was finished. Not that it helped since Venti ended up refusing to read the letter. He claimed that he would confess his love through a song given the chance.
“Depends on what the so-called, simple, favor is.” Diluc narrows his eyes. “Unlike the other simple favor you asked me for.” Kaeya waves his hand around.
“Nothing like that.” Kaeya walks up to the red haired man with the letter, “(Y/N) and I need you to read this.” Diluc glances at it before snatching the paper from his hand. He runs through it briefly and gives you both a confused look. Kaeya sends him a nod and tells him to start reading. Diluc shakes his head and clears out his throat.
“My dear beloved. I appreciate the work you do in order to keep us safe as much as I appreciate your entire being.” Diluc said, irritation laced in the tone of his voice. Kaeya stops him mid sentence.
“Ah ah ah.” He waves a finger in a no motion. Diluc glares at him. “Pretend she and I aren’t here.” Kaeya returns to his position beside you, placing both of his hands on his hips. Diluc grits his teeth, but goes along with what Kaeya requested.
“My dear beloved. I appreciate the work you do in order to keep us safe as much as I appreciate your entire being.” Diluc’s tone changes, “You are one of the most hard working knights and should be noticed more. If no one has thanked you yet, then I shall be the first to do it. Keep my words close to you, please. As one day, I wish I could tell you this in person. But that will happen once I gain the confidence to step forward. Happy now?” Diluc extends the letter out. Kaeya smirks and begins slow clapping.
“My oh my. So touching. Wouldn’t you agree?” Kaeya nods at you. “If it weren’t for his monotonous voice, I’d’ve said we had our man.”
“What exactly are you talking about?” Diluc asks.
“Someone has been sending me these letters.” You answer Diluc’s question. Diluc skims the handwriting on the sheet of paper one more time. He narrows his eyes at Kaeya who in return raises his brow. “I’m trying to figure out who it is. Kaeya made a list of suspects and we’re just going down the list. By the way you’re acting, it’s most likely not you either.” You reach for the letter. Diluc allows you to take it back and proceeds to head for the stairs.
“Well. I wish you luck in finding your admirer.” He stops on the second step while holding the railing. “Who knows? Perhaps it’ll be someone rather close to you.” His gaze travels to Kaeya for a quick moment. Kaeya has a finger pressed against his lips. Diluc continues to ascend up the stairs and disappears into one of the rooms.
“That went better than expected.” Kaeya breaks the silence. “Your thoughts?”
“Stop bothering him.” You roll your eyes at him and turn on your heel to leave. Kaeya bursts into laughter, “You knew what you were doing. Poor man wants to make his wine in peace.” Kaeya jogs after you, the servants at the front door escorting you out.
“I’m doing my job. Is it my fault he doesn’t want to cooperate?” Kaeya places a hand on his chest. “Besides, you say it’s not him. What if he was hiding his emotions well enough that the strategist couldn’t see through it.”
“Diluc and Timaeus both acted the same they usually do when they read the letter.” You say goodbye to whoever is nearby. “Even if their voice wavered the slightest bit, I would have picked up on it. But no. They had no idea what they were reading and it was obvious.”
“Next on our list is Bennett. Shall we go find him?” Kaeya folds the paper once again and it goes back in his pocket. You see the sky’s beginning to change colors. The trip to Dawn Winery was longer than expected.
“No. It’s fine. I have work to finish.” You say. “And plus, I wasted your time with Timaeus and Diluc. You most likely have better things to do.”
“I don’t. Like I said, I was never on for today.” Kaeya places his hands on the back of his head, “I only came to see you… And what our friend wrote. Want me to go interrogate Bennett for you instead? I’ll be nice.”
“That’s okay.” You pat his back, “I’m grateful you’re trying to help. I’ll pick this up again once I’m not busy. And I’ll feel much better knowing I’m not taking up your time with dead ends.”
You and Kaeya part ways once you’re back in the city.
You completely forget about having to visit Bennett and Albedo for the week. And the letters weren’t leaving any time soon. Kaeya joined in every morning to read the recent ones while coming up with his own theories.
A knock resonates through your office and you raise your head. Lisa stands at the door and waves her hand once you see her.
“I knew you’d still be here.” She smiles and leans on the doorway. “Jean and I are going to get something to eat. Want to join us?”
“Is it lunchtime already?!” You say in a panicked tone. You’re checking the time while Lisa tuts in return. “Time went by so fast. I’ve been working all morning, I completely forgot.”
“I think that’s a sign.” Lisa tilts her head to the side, “Let’s go. It’ll be on me.”
“I’m almost done. You go ahead and I’ll catch up!” You want to finish the sentence you’re on.
“Oh no.” Lisa marches over to your desk and snatches the pen out of your hand. She closes the cap, “Jean said the same thing. I will be getting one of you out of here.” She pulls at your wrist and you willingly let her. No one in all of Teyvat could convince you to argue with Lisa.
“But,” You sigh in defeat and Lisa drags you alongside of her. “You’re lucky I’m scared of you.” She chuckles and taps the end of your pen against your cheek.
“Even if you weren’t, you still wouldn’t be able to say no.” You and Lisa leave the headquarters for Good Hunter. Halfway to your destination, Jean came running after you both. She said she’d put the work aside for now as the lunch break was necessary.
Once arriving, compared to when you and Kaeya came looking for Timaeus, there was no waiting line. In fact, the only person currently at Good Hunter was Bennett. He sat at one of the tables writing something. And your mind instantly thought of the letters. Bennett and Albedo were the remaining you hadn’t talked to yet.
Lisa gets her small purse ready for when she needs to pay. She sparks up a conversation with Sarah on how the day has been. Meanwhile, Jean takes a seat at one of the tables to keep it reserved. You take the initiative and decide to talk to Bennett. Maybe you’d catch him in the act of writing another letter if it truly is him.
“Bennett, how are you?” You approach his table. He returns your greeting with a smile and tells you he was doing great. “What are you writing?” You take a peek. Before Bennett can answer, the tip of his pen pops. In result it leaves a large ink splotch that ruins the entire sheet.
“Aw man.” Bennett groans, “Now I have to start all over again.” He removes the paper to reveal a couple other sheets under the first. He reaches into a small bag on the table and pulls out another pen. You can see Fischl’s name on the messed up paper. Soon an idea comes to you.
You pick the paper up and furrow your eyebrows as you read. The words Bennett wrote were not only the same as Ficshl’s daily vocabulary, but the handwriting was somewhat comparable to the ones of your confession letters. Not all the way, just partially. Some of the strokes of Bennett’s letters were very similar. Could they have been modified?
“I was writing a letter to Fischl.” Bennett breaks your train of thought. “I’m leaving on an expedition. I wanted to give this to Katheryne by the end of the day. But you know me and bad luck. That’s the sixth one I mess up.” His words go in one ear and go out the other.
“Handwriting. Why didn’t I think of this before?” You said which leaves Bennett confused. Suddenly, you take off running but come to a quick halt. “Do you mind if I keep this?” You wave the ruined letter in the air at Bennett. The action caught Lisa’s attention.
“Sure?” Bennett shrugs.
“And where do you think you’re going?” Lisa cuts her conversation with Sarah. She sounds and looks angry. You point at her.
“Jade parcels. I will be right back! If I’m not, you can hang me upside down from the Statue at Windrise.” And you’re gone in the direction of Angel’s Share. First to see Diluc. Right after, you’d rush back to the headquarters to see if Sucrose is still around.
Sucrose passed on the word to Albedo that you needed his handwriting. Specifically all the letters of the alphabet written in uppercase and lowercase. When Sucrose came back, she said he told her he’d have it ready and you were free to come pick it up whenever.
“I swear, now I remember how much I hate this place.” Albedo’s head whips over to you. You’re shivering under the layers of jackets you wore for the short trip. “My vision didn’t help keep me warm.”
“I’m sorry. Maybe I should have gone to you instead.” Albedo brings you close to the small fire. You rub your hands together over the fire. “You know, this is the second time someone asks for my handwriting.” Albedo finds the scrap sheet of paper where he wrote all the letters of the alphabet under the book he was reading.
“There’s no way someone else asked you for the same thing.” You accept the paper from him. His handwriting is just as neat as Diluc’s. You flip the sheet of paper where he wrote the lowercase letters on the back.
“Yes. Kaeya beat you to it.” You scrunch up your nose. Kaeya asked Albedo for his handwriting before?
“What do you mean?” Albedo tilts his head to the side.
“Kaeya. He asked me for the same thing. I’d say, about five months ago?” Your eyes widen for a split second. “Is everything okay?” Albedo asks, placing a hand on your shoulder.
“Did he say what for?” And Albedo shakes his head.
“It looked like he didn’t want to tell me.” Albedo drops his hand. “I’m assuming this is for him too. Did he misplace the first sheet I gave him?”
A new piece of information that changes a lot of things. To anyone it might seem useless, and it might have been useless to you also had Albedo not mentioned the time span. You sigh and place your hand on your forehead. The touch is still cold, reminding you of your surroundings.
“I’ll be honest with you Albedo.” He puts a bookmark between the pages he was reading before you got here. Albedo shuts the book, paying close attention to every detail that comes from your mouth. “I have been getting these love letters for the past few months. No clue on who it is whatsoever. Kaeya has read them since the beginning and told me to figure out who it is.”
Albedo nods, allowing you to continue speaking.
“I agreed because he would be helping me. He came up with a list of people.” You point at Albedo, “You’re one of them. Hence, why I asked you for this. Originally we were asking them to read it. But anyone can hide their emotions if they're good enough. Handwriting on the other hand. Not something you can fake easily.”
You finish telling him your dilema and he takes in a while to process what you’ve told him.
“Does Kaeya know about you asking me for that?” He asks and you say no.
“I told him it was fine and he could stop helping me. I would try to figure it out on my own.” You add. Albedo crosses his arms.
“Let me take Kaeya’s place for now and add someone to that list.” Albedo says, “Have you thought that perhaps, Kaeya is the one sending the letters?”
“No. It can’t be. I mean, why would he drag me around Mondstadt asking a bunch of other people if they’re my secret admirer?” You respond, thinking back to Kaeya’s actions from this past week. A smile forms on Albedo’s face.
“In my opinion, that sounds like something he would do. Besides strategist, the dates do add up. Kaeya asked me five months ago my handwriting,” Albedo raises his left hand and then raises his right, “You got your first letter five months ago. Don’t you at least think that something worth looking into?”
He does have a point. Though, why pretend what you’re trying to confess is made by another? Is admitting he likes you too much for Kaeya?
“Like you said, handwriting is not something you can fake easily.” Albedo turns his back and reopens the book, “It will always reveal the truth.” Albedo wished you a safe trip back to Mondstadt. The Sun had already settled by the time you got back and the Moon was high in the sky.
The idea of Kaeya being your admirer wasn’t leaving your mind anytime soon. It’s just going to have to be another restless night until you get to the bottom of this. Two knights sound outside the doors of the headquarters and allow you entry once they see you. You go up the stairs and to your office where all your notes from last night were at.
Last night you stayed behind comparing Diluc and Bennett’s handwriting to the ones of the letters. Only to come and find out there were several. You easily recognized Jean’s in the mix. Diluc, Bennett, and even Barbara’s handwriting, were all crafted perfectly into your love notes. You’ll give your admirer the credit of being one step ahead of you.
You open the first drawer, revealing the stack of notes you kept safe. Along with the notes, you chose one letter from each of the five months. With Albedo now giving you his handwriting, you had almost everyone on the list and a few who weren’t.
You came back down the stairs and opened the door to the library. The lights and candles were still on. You sat at one of the library tables on the second floor. Separating the notes in an orderly manner, you began examining Albedo’s handwriting.
Albedo’s writing had been in the letters since the first one. His seemed to be the base writing. Of course, modified just like the rest of the handwritings used. Whereas Diluc’s handwriting hadn’t been added until the third month. The same went for Bennett. Each letter from the alphabet had a different stroke, different style, and matching one of the many people Kaeya added as a suspect.
On the list of your notes you wrote down who your admirer used for each letter. Albedo was primarily used for the letters A and H. Diluc was used for the letters D and I. You continued until all the letters of the alphabet had one corresponding person.
All but one letter.
The letter K didn’t match anyone. Out of ten people on the list, not a single person. You grabbed the letter and walked over to the checkout list for books Lisa had. You began flipping through past dates until landing on one page. Right under your name where you checked out a book series was your accompanying friend. He agreed that day to check out the same book series as you.
In black ink and perfectly matching the K on every letter for the past five months.
Kaeya Alberich.
“And if it’s not him, that means he knows who it is.” You rest your elbows on the countertop. You’d just finished telling Diluc the trap you’d set up. Diluc is surprised how you’d managed to create such a smart trap. “So? Think it’ll work?”
After concluding Kaeya had to be the one writing the letters, you set up a trap for him to confess. The trap was writing back to the admirer. Last night in the library, you wrote in said letter that you wanted to meet him in person the next day. You’d chosen the time and the location of Angel’s Share. Once you were done. You hid the letter in the same spot your letters were delivered. In the morning, it was replaced with your daily letter.
Though the catch was that you didn’t tell Kaeya you wrote to the admirer nor told him about Angel’s Share. So if he came into Angel’s Share at the exact time, then there was no doubt Kaeya was the sender.
“You never fail to amaze me.” Diluc continues making a customer’s order. “Still, I can’t believe it took you this long to figure out.” You roll your eyes.
“And you knew?” He gives you a small smile.
“From the moment he made me read it. The K was a dead giveaway.” Now the look he gave Kaeya was starting to make sense. “Either way, you should head upstairs. It’s almost time.” You check the clock hanging on the wall. Sure enough the time you wrote on the letter was approaching fast. You slid off the stool, taking your drink with you and went up the stairs of Angel’s Share to the second floor.
It was empty with a few jugs sitting on some tables. You sat down and sigh. You had to be right on this. Diluc himself said it was Kaeya and Albedo was dead set on it being him too. The tavern door could be heard opening and shutting from the second floor.
“We meet again.” Kaeya’s voice resonates from the bottom. “Be a dear and make me a drink, will you?” Diluc scoffs, watching as Kaeya makes his way for what he was expecting. The stairs leading to the second floor.
Kaeya reaches the top step, clenching and releasing his hands once he sees you. He takes a deep breath and shows off the best confidence he can fake.
“The lady of the hour.” Kaeya says, catching your attention. Your heart pounds in your chest and you feel your stomach twist at the sight of Kaeya. He’s right on time, second floor, at Angel’s Share. Kaeya sits across from you at the table of your choice. He starts looking around to see the second floor empty. “Where is he?”
“Where is who?” You play along, feigning to be confused. You have to lure him in a little more.
“Our friend. Your secret admirer. Don’t tell me he doesn’t want to show up.” Kaeya says, “I specifically asked permission to leave early to meet him. You finally write back and he’s not here? All your hard work can’t go down the drain just like that.”
“Kaeya.” He hums in response. “How do you know I wrote a letter back to him?”
“Well, you told me about it of—” Kaeya trails off once realization hits him. You never told him you’d be meeting your admirer. You never told him it would be on the second floor of Angel’s Share. And the smile on your lips is the same one he loves to see once your plans are successful. “Course…”
“Checkmate.” You lace your hands together, placing them on the table. He drops his head, letting out a soft laugh. So you finally figured out it was him. No use in hiding it anymore.
“In what world could I outplay the strategist?” Kaeya grins, looking you in the eye again. “What gave it away?”
“Handwriting.” You begin to explain, “You were smart enough to add over ten different handwritings each time you wrote a letter. Your mistake was not taking away one. Your own. But Kaeya, you have a lot of nerve dragging me to Dawn Winery knowing it was you the entire time!” You lean over the table and pinch his cheek. He rubs his now sore cheek with a pout.
“How rude. I had to help you figure it out somehow.” Kaeya soothes his red cheek. “For your information, it has been five months and you weren’t making any sort of progress.” You collect your composure and sit back down.
“Why didn’t you just tell me?” You ask. “In five months you never got the courage?” Kaeya casted his gaze to the side. He was a little embarrassed. Putting up a front of a confident man when he was with you. In actuality, it disappeared the second you would say a word to him.
“All that confidence went flying in the Anemo archon’s wind—” A loud sneeze cut into the conversation. From below, Diluc says ‘bless you’ and Venti replies ‘thank you’. “When I tried to tell you. And then I did think you’d fallen in love with that scribe from the famous Sumeru Akademiya we met at headquarters.”
“We met Alhaitham once and haven’t heard from him since.” You press your lips in a thin line.
Kaeya still hasn’t looked at you. A silence falls and he begins tapping his fingers on the table, wondering what else he should say. The tapping grows consistently and you reach to hold onto his hand in order to make him stop. At the touch, Kaeya relaxes a little but his nerves are still there.
“Perhaps, I thought you wouldn’t accept the letters if you knew they were from me.” Kaeya mutters. “At least seeing you read and keep them was enough for me.”
“If you’d dropped a hint earlier, I would have accepted your feelings.” You day and that grabs his attention once again. Kaeya’s eye widens when the words you said registered, “I’m not going around accepting everyone’s invitations for a one week getaway to Liyue.”
Kaeya chuckles. The one week getaway where he admitted to himself he did have feelings for you. And prior to that, where you’d grown to see the Cavalry Captain in a romantic way.
“So it seems we had a bit of a miscommunication.” Kaeya now grasps your hand, “But I am glad we have it figured out.” He raises your hand to bring it up to his lips.
“Uh uh!” You snatch your hand away before he can kiss it. “That does not mean you’re out of trouble!”
You arrive at your office ready to fulfill another day’s work. As a daily routine, you checked all of the mail sitting on top of your desk. Carefully going through them one by one and discarding those that aren’t important, you come across the red wax sealed envelope.
That’s the one Kaeya used as his trademark for the letters he sent. You undo the seal and take the contents from the envelope out. Unfolding it slowly, it’s another letter like the others. It’s finally in his handwriting and Kaeya signed his name at the bottom.
“Our friend is still sending letters?” A gasp comes from the door. Kaeya stands there with a hand over his mouth, acting surprised. “When will he give up? Do tell me what he said to you this time.”
“You’ve been sending me these every day for five months.” You watch as Kaeya approaches you. “And you haven’t run out of things to say?” He lifts your head by your chin.
“Only a fool would run out of things to say to you.” Kaeya presses a soft kiss to your forehead.
Warnings; swearing, Izuku being clumsy, reader hopelessly pining.

You walked out of the dorms on the warm Tuesday morning, the sun was out, and the breeze was slowly and lazily drifting by.
The fresh air felt amazing in your lungs as you leisurely strolled to UA, the campus’s beautiful scenery taking your breath away.
A few of your classmates walked past you, greeting you with warm smiles, or sleepy expressions, to which you reciprocate the greeting with your own greeting.
You enjoy the warm morning sun on your skin, the crisp air and cool breeze, thinking of taking a nice long nap in the grass in the courtyard of the dorms.
You sighed as you made your way to the entrance of the school, kissing the beautiful April weather goodbye.
The halls a bustling with students, the signature gray top with dark green bottoms greeting your eyes in a sea of blurry colors.
Despite how tired you are, you smile.
You were incredibly lucky to be going here.
The school’s courses were incredibly well thought out, the teachers were very thorough in their teachings, and you picked up a lot of new methods for working and designing support course gear.
You mainly worked on class 1B’s things, Hatsume mainly dealt with the more troublesome 1A students, which you certainly weren’t complaining about.
As you’re deep in thought, you walk past a trio, and hear the most melodic and beautiful laufh you’ve ever heard.
Your heart floats in your chest as you hear it, and you whip your head to the side.
The trio consisted of three students, one tall boy with dark blue hair, red eyes and glasses, a girl with a brown bob and brown eyes, with pink cheeks. Then, you lay your eyes on the source of the laughter.
The third member of this trio, had wild green curls that were tousled and free, his freckled cheeks a light pink as he and the girl laughed at something, his eyes crinkling shut and his shoulders trembling as he produced the most sweet and gut wrenching sound you’ve ever heard in your 16 years of existence.
You blushed brightly, and gazed at the boy, probably looking like a creep, but what were you supposed to do? You’d just had the wind knocked out of you by the sweetest laugh, that belonged to the sweetest looking boy you’d ever laid eyes on.
He cracked one of his eyes open, his waterline red with a few little tears threatening to spill from his bright green and warm looking eyes.
God you were a mess. Your stomach aggressively fluttering and your heart pounding against your ribs. Who was this cute boy?
The bell signaling school would be starting, rang sooner than you would have liked. You frowned and sighed, watching as the boy collected himself and his trio walked down the hall, turning out of sight.
Your mind lingered on his laugh, on his sweet pink cheeks and emerald green eyes and those messy curls.
You groaned to yourself. What were you thinking? This was some random boy you saw in the halls, and you were acting all flustered over his laugh.
“Get it together, Y/n” you muttered to yourself as you walked down the hall, sighing heavily. You trudge down to your classroom, slipping in silently and sitting next to Hatsume and Ami.
Ami was the first to notice your flustered state. She smirked and turned around to face you “hey, N/n, what’s got you all red in the face this morning?” She asked.
You looked away and huffed. You didn’t honestly want to explain your little incident in the hall. “It’s nothing, it’s just me being over dramatic, that’s all” you muttered dismissively, only serving to fuel Ami’s curiosity.
Ami’s round, orange, eyes narrowed as you dismissed your pink cheeks and avoidant gaze. She glanced to Hatsume, who had a screwdriver in hand, and a glove in the other. “What do you think, Me? Does she look..i dunno…flustered?”
Hatsume only glanced up for a second, then returned her gaze down to her gadget “she looks fine to me!” She chirped, making Ami’s face drop into a deadpan “you’re an addict.” She grumbled under her breath.
You laughed a little and rolled your eyes “guys, it’s no big deal. I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.” You lied, to which Ami sighed “well, if you say so, but you can tell us anything, you know that N/n?”
You smiled softly, feeling lucky to have friends who genuinely care about you. A warm feeling settled in your chest “yeah, I gotcha” you assured with a nod.
A bit later ✮˚.⋆
Finally, your favorite time of the day rolled around…lunch.
Lunch Rush’s food was amazing, and you got to chat with your friends, sometimes even showing off blueprints for the latest projects you’d been working on.
You walked out of the lunch line next to Ami, chatting lightly and chuckling a bit as she cracked a few jokes. As you walked, you heard a familiar sound, one that made you erupt in goosebumps.
You whipped your head around and saw that same boy from earlier that morning, sitting with a new face, a boy with half-and-half hair.
Your heart raced as you gazed at the boy, his laugh wasn’t even that loud, but you could hear it over everything else, the world seeming to hone in on this one freckled boy.
You were so caught up in the boy’s laughter, and in his appearance, you barely even noticed Ami trying to get your attention, until she snapped her fingers in front of your face. “Hello?? Earth to Y/n- are you with us?”
You blushed furiously and looked away, a blush rising to your ears “s-sorry, Wh-what were you saying?” You muttered, stumbling over your words a bit.
Ami huffed and held her tray with one hand, placing her other on her hip “you’re acting weird today, are you sure you’re feeling alright?” She asked with a concerned look on her face, her amber eyes searching yours for any hint of being sick or..something.
You were sick alright, quite sick in fact.
You looked away, averting your gaze from Ami’s “yeah- I’m good Ams, I just-“ you glanced back at the boy for a split second, then away again. Ami turned a second too late, not being able to follow your gaze.
She sighed and shook her head “if you say so..cmon, we need to get to the table before Hatsume blows up the whole cafeteria with her ‘babies’”
You nodded and shot a shy glance to the boy once again, your heart beating a little harder “okay..yeah let’s go”
✮˚.⋆
Apparently, Hatsume had gotten sick some point during the day, meaning that you and Ami and the rest of your class had the lab to yourselves today.
You sighed as you stared down at the helmet you were working on. You spun your wrench around in your fingers, trying to figure out how to implement a comms system without adding a bulky antenna, or making the device in an inconvenient spot.
You looked up as the door to the lab opened, and there stood a blonde haired boy, who looked rather unhappy to be there, and a red head next to him, who couldn’t look more opposite than he did.
“Hello!” The redhead greeted, flashing a sharp, toothy grin. You smiled and pulled from your desk “oh, hey guys. Can I help you two with something?”
The blonde scoffed, his shoulders slouched and his hands in his pockets “where’s the pink one?” He asked with an unimpressed look.
You blinked and chuckled, rubbing the back of your neck. “Uhm..Hatsume is sick..today..but I can definitely help with whatever you’re needing”
The blonde grunted and rolled his eyes, earning a hand on his shoulder from the redhead “ah! It’s not a big deal. I just wanted some help with my costume” he held up his suitcase with his number on it, and you smiled.
“Sure, what did you need?” You asked, taking the case from him and putting it on your desk, opening it.
The redhead smiled “well, I need to make my shoulder pads more heavy, but I don’t want them to put a strain on my body where it’ll do damage or anything like that.” He explained as he pulled out two dark, rusty red, cog looking shoulder pads.
You frowned as you looked at them, taking one and turning it over in your hands. The material was light. You tapped on it with you nail and hummed a bit “well, concidering these are plastic, it’s going to be significantly harder to make these heavier. However, I can cast and remake you different ones out of metal, if you’re alright with that?”
The redhead smiled and looked down at you “oh! Yeah that sounds awesome! As long as I can increase the weight I’m okay with whatever” he nodded and placed his hands on his hips.
You smiled “perfect. Well, I’ll try to have them back to you as soon as possible. Who’s this belong to?” You asked, grabbing some label stickers and putting it on his case, grabbing a marker.
“Kirishima Ejirou” he chirped, his tone light and cheerful. The boy next to him rolled his eyes, seemingly unamused with his happy demeanor.
And just like that, a whole world was opened to you.
Kirishima turned out to be a really nice guy, a little impatient, but in an excited kid way.
He was so incredibly sweet, and you were fast friends. His warm demeanor and friendly smile were something you got used to as he visited every day to check on his shoulder pads.
Meanwhile, the boy you deemed your ‘hallway crush’, continued to be just that..a hallway crush.
His laugh, that smile, the way his cheeks dimpled when he grinned, how the freckles littered his skin, his wild curls, the way his green eyes caught the light..
About a week later, you mentioned this boy in passing, to which Kirishima brightened and smiled “oh! You mean Midoriya?”
You paused and looked over at him “Midoriya?”you repeated dumbly, to which Kirishima chuckled a bit, his hearty laugh warming your atmosphere.
“Well, you said green hair, and the only guy I know who has green hair is Midoriya. He’s kinda short with curly hair? Freckles?” Kirishima described and you felt your heard pound in your chest. You dropped the screwdriver you were holding and gaped.
“You’re classmates with my hallway crush!?” You squealed, shaking the boy by his shoulders.
Kirishima laughed and put his hands over yours “yes- yes! Apparently!” He laughed, allowing you to shake him with the shocked look on your face. “Do you want me to give you his number?”
Your face turned more red than Kiri’s hair, and you sputtered. On one hand, the idea of having his number- of getting that form of communication that you’d been dreaming about, sounded amazing. On the other hand, you were terrified.
“I-I dunno Kiri” you rubbed the back of your neck and looked down shyly “is he nice? I don’t really know him but I’ve only ever seen him smiling or flustered.”
Kirishima smiled warmly and nodded, leaning against your work bench “oh Midoriya? Yeah, the dude is a total sweetheart. He’s nerdy, nice, conciderate and super selfless. He’s also childhood friends with my boyfriend, Bakugou.”
You hummed and fiddled with your fingers “should I try and talk to him next time I see him?” You asked, the idea alone making your stomach twist with anxiety and your hands grow sweaty.
Kirishima perked up and grinned “yeah! Don’t worry, midoriya is totally shy and probably has no experience when it comes to girls, so you don’t need to worry about high standards or anything.”
His words assured you a little but you were still nervous.
Although..the thought of talking to him did make you excited.
A few days passed since that interaction with Kirishima, and you had been looking for your hallway crush. Aka Midoriya.
You walked through the halls, passing the 1A classroom a few times, and finally, you found him.
Your heart fluttered wildly and you almost stumbled over your own two feet as you saw the boy walking with his nose buried in a notebook.
You sucked in a breath, mustered all of your courage and walked up to him “h-hey..Midoriya!”
The boy pulled his face from his book and turned around. He gave a confused smile “oh! Hi, uhm..do I know you?” He asked, fiddling with some of his curls.
You almost passed away. His voice was so easy to listen to, and you could easily let him chat your ear off for hours.
“N-no, I’m actually in the support course” you said, rubbing the back of your neck with a small smile.
Midoriya perked up and smiled “oh! Support course? That’s awesome! Thank you for all the work you do for us” he said warmly, fiddling with the cover of his notebook.
You blushed brightly and fiddled with your tie “oh- I-it’s not a big deal, we just do what we can” you waved off his thanks, feeling a bit shy.
“Oh- a-anyways, I just..wanted to say that you look nice t-today” you said with a shaky smile. Your words made Izuku’s cheeks flush bright red as he suddenly began mentally running over his appearance.
“I-I look nice-? O-oh! Oh! Thank-thank you s-so much! Y-you look very pretty- I mean- beautiful! I mean uh..” Izuku fumbled over his words, suddenly feeling rather bashful and a bit shy.
You blushed and you swore this boy had just taken your heart from you right then and there. You laughed a bit and shyly fiddled with your skirt “uhm..I was wondering if I could maybe get your number?” You asked softly
Izuku’s cheeks, somehow, turned even redder. He blinked as he processed your words before he stiffened “yes!” He said a little too loudly, making you laugh a bit.
He handed you his phone with shaky hands “I’m Y/n, Y/n L/n, it’s nice to meet you, Midoriya” you said as you typed in your number and sent your phone a text from his.
“O-oh! You’re the girl Kirishima mentioned, awesome! It’s n-nice to meet you, L/n” Midoriya said as he accepted his phone back from you, his cheeks still red as he tried to maintain his composure.
You smiled and nodded “yeah, that’s me, but please, Y/n is just fine” you assured.
Izuku’s cheeks flushed bright red and he looked away with a shy grin “alright..u-uh..Y-Y/n it is then”
You two stood there awkwardly for a moment, before you spoke up “uhm..I-is it too forward to offer to walk you to your next class?” You asked, to which Izuku blinked before shaking his head quickly “n-no! That- that sounds awesome..a-actually”
You smiled and rubbed the back of your neck “a-alright, Wh-where to?” You asked, barely finding your voice, your hands fidgety and your cheeks bright red.
“I-i have hero ethics next, I-it’s this way” Izuku said as he gestured down the hall, a small smile on his lips and a pleasant blush on his freckled cheeks.
You smiled as the two of you walked together, the small talk came easy and you just knew when you heard him laughing, that you were done for.

Here’s the first prompt for the Valentine’s Day writing challenge! I’m pretty happy with how this came out, and if you want any characters from MHA, JJK, AOT or Demon Slayer, you can either send me an ask or comment. Have an amazing day, lovelies .•~* 💚
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to have really bad overthinking problems. Due to Katsuki's endless bullying throughout his childhood, he wonders if there is someone who will truly love him for who he is.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend who would buy you snacks every time he gets a chance. He doesn't care who he's with, he's like "(name) would love this, I'll get it then".
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to always take take-out. He can't cook and often you'd be the one cooking for him. He burnt down your home kitchen once, you weren't happy but how can you blame him? He's too cute.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to make you watch All Might related things with him. Ranging from "Top 10 All Might moments" to "What will All Might do now that he retired as the #1 hero?" or other videos related to him. He loves showing off his collection of All Might merch and explaining all about Pro Heros.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to be jealous, in silence...He doesn't want to bother you, he really doesn't but poor baby can't stand you talking to a guy that wants you. After you and the guy stopped talking, he would ask so many questions about the conversation but you assure him that he was the only man you're interested in.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to use emoticons when texting you. He thinks the little faces like ">:(", ":3", ":D" are super cute!! He probably got the idea from Ochco.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to spend money on you like you're his All Might merch. He will NEVER leave a store empty-handed, especially with you. He always asks if you want anything; regardless of your answer, he'll buy you a snack or something.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to surprisingly be the big spoon in the relationship. Everyone thinks you wear the pants but really he does. He's so responsible (sometimes) and it helps that you're close to him.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to rant to you about his day. It can be something about school or his hero life. He rants and yap his ass away whenever he can.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to buy matching outfits for you two. And to do matching Halloween costumes every year. It's either matching costumes or he dresses up as All Might. No debate.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to be shy around you even during the relationship. No matter what, he always asks if he can hold your hand when you two are out. (P.S. his hands are always sweaty.)
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to be embarrassed when his mom talks to you. He knows that she'll say something about how he acted when he was little.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend to have terrible music taste. So you have to put him on with songs in your personal playlist. When you found out that he listened to shit like Alan Walker (no offense :D) you bawled. His Spotify playlist was rearranged the next day.
Izuku ! is the type of boyfriend who uses puppy eyes when he wants something from you. (it works.)

currently thinking about dante sparda who’s a feminist, 6’3, built—and oh, did i mention feminist?
“say, dante, what’s your opinion on men’s rights ?”
“irrelevant.”
dante doesn’t miss the slight pause you make before continuing to stir your drink. he sits in the booth across from you, enzo munching on fries opposite him as he sneaks a sip of his sundae.
“yer joking !” enzo says between belches. “something wrong with ya kiddo ? what do you mean men’s rights are irrelevant ?!”
but dante isn’t listening. he’s more concerned about the gap between your lips & coffee cup, the way you tilt it slightly above your mouth so as to not stain the glass with your gloss. your lips tug into a pout when you find the rim stained in coke pink regardless. you pull out a napkin & wipe it with a frown. cute.
“well, as a six three, employed and financially stable male,” dante clears his throat, smug, “i can’t help but turn my focus to more important things. for example, the widening gap between men and women’s wages. and we can’t forget the rising prices of feminine hygiene products, of course.”
enzo wipes his mouth with the back of his sleeve. he doesn’t miss the way dante’s pupils seem to flit over to you every now and then. he clicks his tongue,
“kid, please, y’know she hasn’t even looked at ya, right?”
“she will.”
you continue to scroll through your phone.
but dante takes your silence as intrigue.
“anyways,” dante pauses as if searching for the words, “i just think it’s important to raise awareness—”
“yer raisin’ my freakin’ blood pressure.”
dante shoots him a glare. “i just think that, as a six foot four male, it’s my duty to raise awareness about the issues women face and the obvious gender bias in america’s modern day economy.”
“y’said six three before, kid—wait, what’s yer’ height gotta do with anything ?!”
as if on cue, your teaspoon clatters to the ground, and dante, ever the feminist, is quick to lean down to pick it up—rattling the table and spilling enzo’s fries in the process.
“hey! watch it—“
“your spoon, lady,”
you blink. dante’s taken his time to wipe the spoon clean & present it with a napkin. you hesitate a little before obliging with a murmur, “thanks..?”
“you’re welcome,” he says smoothly, relaxing into the booth seat. “no woman should ever have to bend over in a skirt. i mean—unless she wants to. then it’s her choice. her feminine power.”
“oh !”
enzo chokes on a fry. you stare at dante for a beat too long & he can’t tell if you’re confused or interested, but dante has an ego bigger than his head so he decides upon the latter.
“say, lady, don’t you agree that men should always pay on the first date ?”
you raise a brow. “the first ?”
dante waves his hands. “all, really. i only mention the first because i know some strong, independent women prefer to pay too. i respect that. i respect all women, really.”
“right. and is this your way of offering to pay for my food ?”
dante’s pupils shift to your table. only now does he realize you’ve ordered the most expensive french breakfast on the menu, as well as a drink too milky brown to cost the same as your average cappuccino. his wallet aches heavy in his pocket. “with pleasure ! lemme just get my wallet out…hope i didn’t leave it in the hellcat…”
“huh? wasn’t our uber a toyota?”
dante bares his teeth, ready to strangle enzo when you giggle—
“oh, gosh,” you sniffle, wiping tears, “that’s enough, you two are hilarious.”
clearing your throat, you raise your hand to reveal the diamond settled on your finger. “i’m sure you’re lovely and all, but i’m happily engaged.”
“that’s okay! i support women having multiple streams of happiness—ow !”
dante rubs at his shin as you continue. “that’s nice for you, but i’m fine with my fiancé.” you set some cash on the table and dust your skirt off, standing up to leave. “thank you for the laugh, though, gentlemen.”
you wave them goodbye and make your exit.
“God, i love women.”
“seek help,” enzo mutters, as he sneaks a sip from dante’s drink again.

summary: Izuku as your hallyway crush!!
warnings: none!
an: this takes place in middle school
How on earth could someone be this cute??? Like look at him! With his fluffy green hair and pretty doe eyes and freckles, Izuku Midoriya was your hallway crush.
Though one thing you didn't understand was why was he shunned? You had heard he was quirkless, but still. He had the cutest face ever, how could they not like him?? You kept your crush to yourself though. No need to get bullied. But that didn't mean you couldn't woo and endlessly pin for him.
Izuku always had the weird sense he was being watched. That was really weird, right? Who would want to watch him? He knew there were some people who deserved to be watched, like Kachan! With his strong quirk, and good looks. Izuku had no quirk, and zero good looks. So there was no way anyone watched him. With these thoughts circulating, he opened his locker, and was surprised to see a piece of paper, with a little heart drawn onto it, and a simple message.
you're really pretty. <3
It made a brilliant blush spread onto his freckled cheeks, this was a prank, right? No way a girl or guy, or anyone, could think he was pretty! It was impossible! He frantically glanced around the almost empty hallway, waiting for Kachan and his friends to jump out of a closet, filming him.
When that didn't happen, still a little wary, Izuku put the note into his pocket, the blush starting to fade. Well, if it wasn't a prank, it didn't hurt to keep it, right?
You watched him frantically glance around the empty hall, probably wondering who had left the note. You stifled a little squeal, glad to be able to make him blush. Honestly, it just made him even prettier. This was a pretty bold move, coming from you, but you wanted to! He should know he was pretty! He just made you want to squish his face, and make him blush even more!
Maybe some chocolates would do the trick? People liked that, right? Maybe you could ask him? The idea made you flush, how could someone even casually ask that? "Hey, what's your favorite chocolate?" That really sounded stupid. You didn't want him to think you were stupid. That'd be mortifying.
You paused, maybe some simple chocolate kisses could work? You mulled it over, finally deciding to do just that.
How.. did chocolate kisses get into his locker? There was no way someone could slip them into the tiny slot at the top. Unless.. they had a quirk? Maybe a teleportation one, capable of transporting small objects? Perhaps one that could change the properties of an object, making it small enough to get it through the slot? The possibilities were endless!
He started to mutter, or maybe they were creepy and knew his locker code? He flushed, if they knew his code, that meant that they paid attention to him as he opened his locker, and memorized his code! If they did, that was a little creepy, but the thought that they paid extra attention, made him a little giddy. He shook his head, don't be stupid! There was no way someone paid that much attention.
He noticed the note, skimming over it. It made his face explode, his face heating up.
here's some chocolates kisses cutey! <3
ps. I wouldn't mind giving you some real ones! <33
He made a few squeaking sounds, wondering if what he was reading was real. This was a trick, right? No one on their right mind would want to..kiss him, right? The idea was impossible!
You watched him, feeling ever so pleased with yourself. That note might have been a bit much, considering how red he looked. You watched him for a few more seconds, as the flush slowly faded. Which was a shame, honestly.
You wondered how long it would take till he figured it out. From what you saw, he was incredibly smart. Another reason why you liked him. Very rarely was someone good looking and had the intelligence. Plus he never called attention to himself. Though for some reason the teachers were happy to give him the spotlight when he clearly didn’t want it.
Another note.
you know, it’s really cool how much you know about heroes. <3
Izuku read the words, wondering as usual, if this was supposed to be a prank. It was well known how much he liked pro heroes. But it was considered creepy how well he knew them. Villainous even. He knew their weaknesses, their strengths, everything. But his secret admirer, if he could even call them that, thought that everything he knew about heroes was cool.
So this mystery person, thought he was pretty, and liked how much he knew about heroes. If such a person existed, he’d like to meet them. And make sure that this wasn’t a prank.

Dante squirmed in his chair, his blue eyes staring straight into yours. He wasn't expecting to be placed in such a situation, not that he was complaining but you needed him to sit still. And you were the reason that was being a difficult task for him to accomplish.
"Dante stop moving," you grumbled keeping a sturdy grip on his scruffy chin.
"It's difficult for me with you sitting on me like that," Dante groaned, placing his hands on your hips. He just wiggled more causing the razor to lift from his cheek.
"Dante!"
"I don't want scalped babe," he whined.
"Then stop moving," you replied taking another strip of hair with the razor.
With you sitting on his lap, your legs straddling him it was enough to fluster the man. It wasn't that he was uncomfortable with the seating arrangement and your body being placed upon his so inviting. Nope not uncomfortable at all, but you said not to touch you anywhere but your hips so he wouldn't distract you from your task. That was what he was struggling with, with your gorgeous face so close to his you were temptation wrapped in a perfect package.
"I can see that brain of your working behind those eyes," you teased him while wiping the razor clean.
"So you admit I actually have a brain," he purred moving his hands back some to cup your rear.
You slapped his hands and he immediately obeyed placing them back to where he was allowed. He pouted but didn't say a word.
"When it benefits you, now behave so I can finish this up."
"Do I get a treat when you're finished with me?"
"I'll think about it," you grinned before placing a kiss on his brow.
So in light of his possible reward after his shave, Dante remained quiet and kept his hands in place. Though he couldn't stop his thumbs from rubbing circles into your shirt. His gaze watched your every move and he couldn't help but grin whenever you would tilt his face. It was only when you would grow uncomfortable that you would abandon your task to flick his nose or give him a glare. It would only make Dante chuckle and sneak a quick kiss before retreating. But you could only shake your head and let him do what he wanted.
When Dante had said something about how scruffy he was looking, you volunteered to shave him pretty quickly. Dante didn't let people do much for him, as he was just used to taking care of everything himself. That's why this moment felt important to you, Dante letting his guard down for just a second. You could see the man underneath that he kept hidden. Jokes and his devil may care attitude hid a brokenness he didn't want others to see. As you worked the razor carefully across his face, you took in his features. Eyes that would make the clearest bluest day jealous, a jaw that could cleave a demon in two, and hair that could rival the freshest snow. He was handsome and strong and kind. Your heart beat harder as the razor stilled in your hand causing Dante to look up. He could see your chest rising and falling more rapidly and he knew he was to blame. So he took that as a pass to break the rules.
He took the razor from your hands, setting it on his desk with a gentle thud against the wood. He looked comical with shaving cream still staining his cheeks but at the moment all you could notice was the look he had. He looked at you like a water starved man looked at an oasis a beast that hadn't fed in weeks. He cupped your cheeks, yours so much softer and the feminine fullness of your lips calling to him. His thumbs lazily stroked across your cheeks, Dante reveled at the soft skin under his callouses. Seconds passed and he was kissing you, his mouth on yours firmly taking what he wanted. You kissed him back, tongues clashing as you held onto his shirt, wadding it in your fist like you could pull him closer. The cotton fabric beneath your fingers a contrast to the hard muscles underneath Dante's skin. He was darkness and light, soft and hard. He was everything you could dream of as his humanity always stayed close to the surface, overpowering the devil inside. He held you tightly not wanting to release you as he tasted and took and craved. One hand moving to cup the back of your neck and the other moving to bury into your hair. His chair creaked as you shifted on top of Dante's lap and he groaned. Your scent mingling with the scent of shaving cream and the leather chair he sat on. You reached up, fingers tangling in the gray strands on his head before pulling away as your lungs screamed for air. You both sit there panting for much needed air before you smooth your hair and clear your throat.
"I think you got your reward early," you rasped.
Dante with kiss swollen lips started to laugh at the image before him. Cheeks flushed red, lips plumped by his frenzied caresses, and smears of shaving cream on your chin, nose, and cheeks.
"Am I shaving you next," Dante asked picking up a clean towel that you hadn't used yet. He wiped the cream away revealing your blushing cheeks.
"You would probably try to use Rebellion to shave me if I let you," you snorted.
"Cleanest shave you'll ever have," he licked his lips still tasting you.
"I'm not letting you shave me with Rebellion sweetheart," you got back to your task.
Dante sighed, "You never let me do anything fun."
"Oh I know I'm just terrible," you made the last swipe with the razor.
"Kiss me again and I'll forgive you," he grabbed you bringing you closer until you scooted further across his lap and your knees hit the back of the chair. Your breasts pressed against his warm chest. You refused to let him distract you again before you finished wiping the remaining shaving cream from him. He grabbed the towel tossing it away for it to land in the floor somewhere to be picked up later. Leaning in for more kisses, you stopped him with your hands on his cheeks. Dante yelped at the burn as you started patting aftershave against his freshly shaved skin.
"Much better," you laughed before twirling a strand of hair between your fingers. "Now you just need a haircut."
"Maybe later I'm craving something sweeter than strawberry sundaes," Dante purred. Embracing you again as he held onto you tighter. He pulled away his lips barely parted from yours. "I think I'll have you help me shave more often."
"I think I can handle that," you whispered.
Life could never be perfect but when you had Dante and he had you, life was as close to perfect as could be. His shop a little slice of heaven when you were around.
Miguel thots? ohhhhh I’m on it like I wish I was on that man. I like to think he’s actually quite the flirt/tease
Imagine that man manspreading in a booth / on a couch, leaning back, arms sprawled out on the back of the couch just nearly taking up the whole space. And when he sees you, he locks eyes with you with his stoic furrowed brow look.. and adjusts himself in the seat with that little thrust of his hips and sinks back further, only to let a slight toothy (fang..y?) smirk show when he sees you choke on your drink
How he’d come to talk to you at your desk, and point something out on your screen just so he has an excuse to lean in and tower over you from behind you, face next to yours, arms on either side of you bracing himself with his knuckles on your desk
Maybe he’d think he’s just flustering you, but when you tell him he smells good he has to clear his throat and stand up to compose himself just so he doesn’t blush
Little things like slipping in a “that’s my girl” even though you’re just his secretary, his hand on the small of your back when passing by you, finding reasons to show off his fangs, winking at you when he catches you staring.. he’d be SUCH a flirt
Same girl. I wanna comb that man like a tree 😩
Miguel has his way of….how do I say it…testing the water. He senses that you’re into him, but he’s no fool and just assume that everyone wants him. He knows himself. Of course, he can’t help doing more of the teasing either, especially when he sees how flustered you get. It excites him at the prospect.
He can also be a bit cocky too once his suspicions is confirmed. Perhaps, he intentionally run into you on your way to the lab, or perhaps he intentionally sprawl himself over the sofa and just take up as much space as possible, so other spider people can’t interrupt the two of you. Whatever it is, he’s slowly concocting plans to woo you, I supposed 😂 for a man with little patience, I think, it’s a lot of effort for his part.

content warnings! mentions of excessive alcohol intake, if you are uncomfortable with this topic, please don't read any further ^^
"do you really love her?" your cousin asked miguel, who was lurching over on the table, horribly drunk and a little sick of the alcohol he was taking in. you didn't want to see the aftermath of this, you didn't want to know what kind of answer miguel would give despite trusting him so much. it wasn't that you didn't trust him, it was that you had so many horrible experiences with this kind of crap your cousins pulled that you couldn't bear to see it. you tried to get miguel away from them, but he suddenly blurted out his answer.
"i do." he said, his voice slurred and heavy from the drinking. your cousins nodded and agreed sarcastically, which made you question if you were even related to these people. "aren't there better options for you to fall in love with? come on, look at you! surely, you've looked at other people in ways you never looked at our cousin before, no?" they pressed him, eager to hear his response. you couldn't be any more disgusted or angry at their behavior, so you got up and started shouting--shouting at them to leave miguel alone, to leave you alone, to mind their own business as adults because they really didn't seem to get the memo. as you were shouting at them, miguel took your hand, and though he was still hunched over the table, he responded in a weak voice. "never. never have i... wanted anyone... the way i wanted... her." he confessed as he mustered the strength to look up at you with such a genuine expression on his face.
"i... i want nobody else. just you, mahal ko." he said as he looked you in the face and tried smiling, despite the alcohol already bringing him into the sober but dazed stage. he leaned over to kiss your lips, he needed nothing more right now than the feeling of you on him, right here and right now. he's rambling and mumbling, on and on, about how he's dreamed of marrying you, spending the rest of his life with you, maybe having kids with you if you wanted. "i've thought of... of names for them all, mahal..." he went on as he leaned against you, gradually putting his weight down on you. after your cousins realized that, even when drunk, he was pretty much hopelessly in love with you, they lost interest in the game and went back to their own worlds as miguel jumped to the giddy stage as he wrapped his arms around you for a bear hug and kissed you all over your face, as if he was separated from you for a lifetime, when in reality, you were hear the whole time--holding his hand while he drank away everything your cousins gave him.
"i meant every word of it, y'know..." he whispered to you with a slight giggle as he held you closer and squeezed you a little tighter. "they said... 'when drunk, the truth comes out'... they didn't need to make me drunk to... to make me remind them all that... you're all i want." he said as he began running a hand through your hair and chuckling as he fidgeted with a lock of your hair and smiling wider when he saw you smile. "you have such a perfect smile. it's enough to knock me out..." he said as he leaned over to kiss your cheek, and soon, his head fell to your shoulder, almost knocking you down with his size. you called for your other cousins to help you take him to your room, and they teased both of you for how disgustingly sweet you two were with each other.
as you and your cousins plopped him down on your bed, you closed the lights and curled up into the bed next to him. miguel was still a little awake when you snuggled in next to him, so he seized the opportunity to grab you by the waist and pull you in for another hug, calling you all his favorite nicknames for you and complimenting every bit of you as you two lay there on your bed. "i'll love you forever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and... ever." he said as he kissed your nose. you placed your hands on either sides of his cheeks and giggled. "and i'll love you forever, and ever, and ever, miggy." you said as you kissed him on his soft, pouty-like lips as he let the alcohol drift him off to the land of sleep in your arms as you hugged him by his waist now, both of you in each other's arms.
