“Why didn’t bill wanna believe Georgie was dead!!🤬🤬”
In the books Bill was 10 when Georgie went “missing”. After that his parents never talked to him or even looked at him. They never talked at the dinner, I think they even didn’t had the dinner together, but I might remember wrong, they never said goodnight to each other anymore. And then he went to the losers built and shouted into the forest that they are wrong, that he’ll find Georgie and they all took it out on him for no reason. He just thought that if he could bring back Georgie his parents would love him again.
I’m sobbing every time I think of this.
Let’s add his survivor guilt about Georgie and I’m on the floor with tears
You know what? I am also offended… Offended that they didnt really roast Pennywise to death with some more sophisticated rude wordsmithing. At least more sophisticated than repeating “YOU ARE JUST A CLOWN”
I’m gonna be so pissed the fuck off if Welcome To Derry gives us another band of kids who fight back against It and come close to killing It/manage to harm It like no the whole fucking point is these kids die alone and helpless and get lost to time and the world moves on and forgets and it’s horrible and tragic and unfair. It’s a cycle broken by the loser’s club and them only. That’s a massively important aspect of the story.
Continued.
Bill looked confused. Of course Georgie couldn’t quite understand why his big brother was confused. Wasn’t he happy to see Georgie? Wasn’t that the whole reason they were down in that dark, scary place? To save seven year old Georgie from the monster that had taken him? He didn’t know what his brother was confused for but he was still happy to see Bill! Georgie shifted from foot to foot, reaching out with his arm. “Yeah!” He answered, stepping forward. “It’s me.” He answered. Georgie looked between the familiar faces he knew and the unfamiliar faces he didn’t know.
“Who are your new friends, Billy?” The boy questioned curiously. Before he could say much else, he watched as Stan whispered something to the older Denbrough boy. Georgie tilted his head curiously as he watched his brother’s friend move closer. Georgie brought his hand up and waved at the other boy. Georgie looked between Stan and Bill as the former stopped in front of him. “Can we get some food?” He asked as Stan leaned forward as if he was examining him like a doctor would. His brows furrowed as Stan looked at him in alarm. “What?” He demanded, stomping his foot on the ground, missing Stan's quiet. "Bill, I think it really is him."
“Come on! Can’t we just go? I want to go home.” Georgie pleaded, lip quivering as he started sniffling. “I don’t wanna stay here anymore! That scary clown might come back!” The small boy flung himself at his big brother and clinged to the older boy, his face buried in Bill’s side. “Please, Bill…” @scribedhorror
you’ve heard of pre-reunion losers meeting by coincidence, now get ready for pre-reunion losers just missing meetings by coincidence. eddie getting bored and turning off a televised broadcast of a tv awards ceremony seconds before richie is announced best actor in a comedy for his new sitcom. mike visiting a book shop out of town, completely unaware that bill’s newest novel had been shipped in and sold out since his last visit. ben checking into a resort hotel hours after bev and tom check out. do you understand
I love how Richie lied about clowns being his greatest fear and pennywise did not clock it at all. he gaslit gatekept girlbossed his way out of that one
The most painful thing about Eddies death is that Pennywise didn’t just kill him for fun. He knew. He fucking knew that if he killed Eddie, he was killing 2 losers, not just one. He knew that as soon as Eddie was dead, another loser would stop fighting. Knew he would do anything to get Eddie back or die with him. And he was right. Richie stayed by Eddies side the whole time, only leaving to fight IT because he thought Eddie would survive. Richie refused to believe Eddie was dead and fought to bring him out of the cistern. Pennywise knew Richie would’ve stayed with Eddie no matter what. And Richie would’ve, if the other losers hadn’t dragged him out. Even when Neibolt house was collapsing, Richie still fought to get Eddie back.
Richie’s biggest fear was never truly being gay. That was a part of it, sure, but not his biggest fear. It was always losing Eddie. Always. That’s why Pennywise showed him Eddie in Neibolt house-why he always went into full panic mode when Eddie was in danger.
It was always Eddie.
That’s why Pennywise killed him-because he knew that when Eddie died, Richie would die with him.
and he was right.
