He probably saw James in Remus, he probably saw him in Ron, he probably saw him in specific foods, room, jokes, voice, laughs, eyes, smile, colours, smells, he probably saw him every night- a dark shadow right outside his chamber, he saw him at the cornor of his eyes, in every turn of eyes. James always haunted Sirius, it didn’t take Harry!!!!!

James and Lily had Harry during a war!! The possibility of them dying and leaving Harry alone was not something they were unaware of!! They knew it was completely possible, especially since they were literally fighting and targeted!! They didn't pick Godfather in your average, sweet, honorable, fluffy way!! it was literally life or death, it was about who they'd leave Harry to!! So the fact that mid war, targeted and threatened, they picked the one person they fully believed would be perfect to raise, protect and be responsible of Harry!! That was Sirius Black for a reason!!

If they did pick Sirius before the prophecy or before Harry's birth, before they were truly targetted, they stuck to that decision!!

I havent seen many people around talk about Aelius Montgomery so i thought id make a post about some canon info we know about him!!

He was a male slytherin character who went to hogwarts around a similar time to the marauders!

First of all we know he was born somewhere in december 1960 (people generally believe he was born on the 23rd) which makes him the year below the marauders!!

He was a cousin to lucius malfoy

He was a death eater!! He seemed to be less trusted within the DEs (i thought maybe he'd had history with an order member?? Lmk your thoughts) but he did have the dark mark

He had blonde hair (i think it was long i cant fully remember) which was on brand with him being related to the malfoys haha

Generally he hung out with the death eaters but he was kind of like,, a peter sort of role (sidekick)
