Not to gush about the Radio Adaptation again but... I love when Holmes starts singing just loud and with his full chest, it's so obvious how much fun he has singing, it sounds so authentic and it's so so good ;-;
[ID: a digital drawing of Holmes, wearing a blue dressing gown over his night shirt. He's walking, holding his violin and a book under his left arm while gesturing outwards with his right hand, his eyes closed and singing with a big smile. /End ID]
Holmes having living relatives that he still talks to and interacts with, Holmes being the one to initiate most of the physical contact and affection between himself and Watson, Holmes saying Watson is his “only friend” VS Watson having no living relatives by the time he returns from war, Watson rarely initiating contact between himself and Holmes unless he’s tending to injuries, Watson having a semi-large circle of friends outside of Holmes
I don’t know where I’m going with this but I just think those parallels are interesting. Holmes has close familial relations and is very physically affectionate but has no friends whereas Watson has many friends but no familial relations and is much more reserved about touch. There’s something here. It’s on the tip of my tongue I just know there’s something here you could dissect if you thought about it enough
Just a cute lil thought:
Since Bruce's kids all love to play around and hide in his cape as Robins, I wonder if he makes them blankets out of the same materials as his cape so they can have a piece of security when Bruce isn't there?
I remember in Dick and Jason's older comics (correct me if I'm wrong), they used to stay up late waiting for Bruce when he'd go out as Batman alone, so I'm gonna take this as confirmation that all his kids have done this at some point.
So now I'm totally gonna hc that in order to encourage his kids to not stay up late for him or as a way to help them feel more safe and secure when he's not there, he makes them all blanket replicas of his cape for them to snuggle with :')
And also just imagine his kids all grown up, and they STILL have the blankets with them, regardless of if they've moved out.
it all depends on the lighting or something
battinson befriends the tiny child playing with his ipad in a corner at this gala. it’s timmy :)
We’re half way thereee~ WOooAah living on a PRAYERR!
5 hours and 45 minutes, estimated time of completion 10 hours 22 minutes (hopefully I still gotta do the others in SBI) ;-;
Because I the universe hates Bruce Wayne, every time one of his kids or friends finds something he genuinely doesn't know how to do or is just mediocre at, Bruce tries to get out of it with a "when would I ever need to [tie balloon animals]" and their next case becomes unsolvable without Steph's excellent [ballon-animalling skills] or Bruce literally has no choice but to rapid-fire try to get good at it while his friends/kids shout at him.
===============================
Hal, during some small talks at Watchtower : "You know, Bat, you can offer me some privileges."
Bruce : "That's called nepotism, Lantern. No."
Dick, the guest of honor today : "What's that about?"
Hal : "You know, lover privilege, husband favoritism, something, anything."
Dick, thinking about Bruce's past romance heartbreaks : "That's not nice to tease him with something insensitive like that."
Everyone else in the room : *nodding and humming in agreement*
Hal : "Huh?"
Bruce, as equally confuse : "Hn."
===============================
Tim : "You know him. He is kinda extra when it comes to his cover. You're attractive, you can score someone pretty easily even after this whole thing is over."
Hal, who just want to grab a glass of water from bats's kitchen : "... okay?"
===============================
Olliver : "He can't really tell when to stop joking sometimes, so don't be too hard on him. I'm sure you can hook up with someone soon to shut him up."
Bruce, doesn't even know where to start : *grunt*
===============================
Bruce, during an outing with Clark and Diana : "I wonder if my choice would annoy him or not."
Clark, sighing : "Bruce, I know you two don't have the best relationship, but you can't just keep pastering him with your whims."
Diana, nodding : "I don't know what kind of psychological warfare you're planning on him, but you need to not take it too far."
Bruce, who just wants to ask opinion on his choice of movie for their next date : "You two are unbelievable."
===============================
Hal : "I am not joking. I went to bed with him."
Barry : "Dude, stop annoying him. He will kill you one day."
Hal, frustrated : "I am telling you—!"
===============================
Billy, in his Champion form : "I truly believe we only kiss the people we love."
Hal, freaking out because Billy—out of all people—accidentally seeing them making out : "Look, I know this is not a professional way to use any room in Watchtower but—"
Billy : "You know, you two took the whole battering fiasco way too far this time."
Bruce, still internally shaking for not noticing Billy entering the room : "... you can't seriously believe that's what's going on."
Billy : "Hey. Wisdom of Solomon."
===============================
Damian : "That being said, we should treat Jordan with respect since he is willing to put up with Father's schemes."
Other bats : *agreed*
Bruce, just give up at this point : "This house is supposed to be the nest of a bunch of detectives."
close up!!

my current hyperfixation — a post-crisis nightwing ongoing in the same verse as persephone, where the new52 never happened and dick moves to new york after bruce is rescued from the time stream in batman and robin 2009. aka dick fights cops and reconciles with the important people in his life, free from the shadow of the bat
