Exactly what it says on the tin.
Ex-Villain from a crime family that has to watch and participate as their family is taken away by the heroes
Ex-Villain who spent their villain years chasing the approval of their mentor/villainous idol/villainous loved one, only to find themselves 'redeemed', now chasing the approval of the heroes
Ex-Villain changing their behavior, but never getting better. In fact, they're not sure they've ever felt worse
Ex-Villain only ever being seen as that, an Ex-Villain
Guilt tripping, so much guilt tripping. They don't even argue anymore, they just give in.
Nobody wants a villain, Ex-Villain is rejected almost everywhere, which can make it easier for hero organizations to keep them under control because they have nowhere else to go.
Ex-Villain losing sleep over their past, unable to think of anything other than what they've done wrong
Ex-Villains dyeing or cutting their hair and changing their appearance until they're unrecognizable, because maybe then they can at least pretend they're a different person now
Ex-Villain who still suffers with violent impulses, unable to ever get help for them because admitting they have them would make everyone distrust them
Ex-Villain who learns the hard way that that 'power of friendship' thing only applies to people the heroes like
Ex-Villain who's trying, they really are, but find it increasingly difficult to believe it'll ever actually make a difference
Everyone says Technoblade would be a child of Ares in the PJO and HoO books, but no. I say Demeter, the Goddess of agriculture. (I'm going to put this all below a cut because I'm really enthusiastic about mythology and will be writing a lot and I know not everyone will want to have to scroll past a large block of text.)
Firstly, Demeter riots when her daughter is kidnapped, straight up almost killing all of humanity by not letting crops grow and starving them until she got Persephone back. She is the cause of winter happening out of pure defiance against the king of the Gods because he is not bothered to rescue her daughter.
Less commonly know is her connections to the underworld. In early Mycenaean myths Hades did not exist and instead there were three main underworld gods. Poseidon, Persephone and Demeter. Demeter was, in the earliest of the myths, a goddess of the underworld. Of course in the myths we all know know she isn't, but that version still exists, and I feel like it should at least be considered. If you want a better explanation I would suggest Overly Sarcastic Productions' video on Persephone and Hades but to summarise it, Demeter and Persephone might have been two spooky eldritch goddesses before Greek speaking immigrants moved to the region and Poseidon fathered Persephone who was a horse while both he and Demeter were horses.
Demeter, as said multiple times now, is the mother of Persephone. Persephone whose name means 'bringer of destruction'. Persephone whose name was never said aloud as the greeks feared her wrath just as, if not more, than her husband's, whose name was also never spoken aloud. (I'm going to go off topic for a second here but Hades may not even be called Hades, and that might be the name of the underworld, showing just how feared he was if they were scared to even speak his name, scared of summoning his presence and causing death within the household. If that is how feared Hades was, imagine how feared Persephone must have been.) Persephone who killed a nymph (Minthe) because she said Hades was her lover and that she was better than Persephone, turned her into a plant (mint) and uses that flower as her own symbol. If Demeter can birth this well-feared goddess, then who is to say she couldn't birth an anarchist with a thirst for blood.
All in all, Demeter is, in my eyes, the best fit for the godly parent of Technoblade. She is loyal, vengeful, a goddess of harvest and has no mercy for those who have wronged her, as well as possibly having been a goddess of the underworld at some point and being the mother of one of the most feared gods during the era of Ancient Greece. If you think I'm wrong, about the myths or who his godly parent would be, please do disagree with me and tell me why I'm wrong, I would love to know why and what your opinions are! (/sincere)
one more little detail that didn’t make it into the anime:
chilchuck is given a cushion to sit on
bonus: izutsumi doing her own thing under the table???
I can't stop thinking about an AU where multiple universes collide and a bunch of alternate Bats have to save the world together-- but the catch is that they are: Talon Grayson, Gun Batman Tim, Cluemaster Steph, Demon Head Damian, Assassin Cass, Prince of Metas Duke (followed his bio father's footsteps after finding out about him) and.... Father Todd. The only one who doesn't kill people, but is very well versed in exorcism magic.
A very important thing to me about the batfam magical girl AU is that the rest of the characters are classic dc comics characters. Which means that while they have many similarities (magical girls are like lantern corps with more glitter and less police anyway, and the magical batfam story can get really dark and tragic at times), they're constantly faced with the clash between comics logic and magical girl anime logic. By which I mean:
______
Bruce, waking up the morning after adopting Dick on impulse and then sleeping the sleep of the dead: Wait, since when do I have a son? Eh, it doesn't matter.
Clark, who was listening into Gotham for whatever reason: The fuck it doesn't?
_____
Lex Luthor: How did you know about my evil evil plan?
Tim: A little bird told me.
Kon: Really, robs?
*cue glittery red robin with a crescent moon on its head landing on Tim's shoulder and speaking in an annoyingly high-pitched voice*
_____
Jason: With the power of love and this gun I found-
Kyle: Can you be serious for one fucking second?
Jason: No actually I am. I was gonna shoot the guy and accidentally left my heart open to channel the energy of the Galaxy and in doing so I saw the man for all that he could be and the magic of the Robin and the Wolf combined to make the gun magic and when the bullet hit him it changed the man on a fundamental level and he realised he wanted to follow his lost dream of selling portraits by the beach instead of trafficking people.
Kyle: what-
Jason: he died a few minutes later though. I did still shoot him in the heart.

After Justice League shenanigans lead to a multiverse portal opening:
Failsafe!Batman: -so I pulled out the shark repellent to fight he jokerized space sharks, and then I fell from the moon-
Magical!Batman: That doesn't make any sense! Shark repellent spray is an absurd thing to have in your utility belt and besides, you don't just fall off from the moon!
Green Arrow : Finally somebody said it.
Magical!Batman: You have to take the magic portal on the other side of the moon!
Green Arrow: ...Spoke too soon.
Dick has the skills of various circus artists. Of course, not at the level of professionalism that he has with the trapeze, for example, but still, he has many other skills that he learned as a child.
We know from a comic that he has "fast hands", he can practically steal anything if the other person is distracted enough.
His ability to escape the sight of others? He must have learned it from an illusionist.
Surely Batman already had a base on which to work with his aim. Obviously Dick practiced knife throwing in the circus.
Some things are useful in battle, and others are just for fun (like him juggling to entertain Jon, and probably many other kids). Maybe he also knows how to make shapes with balloons? (His siblings probably loved watching him do circus acts, even if they would never admit it).
Let's not even talk about his uncanny ability to stuff things into the non-existent pockets of his suit. ✨M A G I C✨
You can't tell me that he stopped practicing everything that wasn't useful to him in combat.
He just kept practicing every single thing his first family taught him, his way of staying close to them.
can’t wait to forget this exists!
What do you all study when you're doing art studies??

I miss the pre-New 52 Tim and Jason dynamic so much. It was basically Jason beating the fuck out of Tim well being all "nothing personal kid I just hate everything about you, your existence and the fact you're breathing right now" and Tim spitting up blood going "what if your mother was a whore, kill yourself" and Jason just deciding right then and there that this kid is his favourite person. Then it just turned into a Tom and Jerry hunt across the city where Jason keeps hitting Tim with the "join me, be my robin" and Tim kicks him in the balls.
