Me real⁉️
me during a lovely hangout with friends:

my brain, about to pull the funniest prank of all time:
what if everyone in this room hates you
This morning I genuinely cried at the prospect of MCR5
Sorry but i'll never ever in a million years get over foundations of decay. i'm clinging on to that song for dear life. "you must fix your heart" "you must build an altar where it swells" "the poison is the cure" "he gets to die a saint but she will always be the whore" "let it flow, let it wash away" "will you welcome your extinction in the morning rays" "it comforts me much more to lay in the foundations of decay/get up coward". every line of that song is so visceral and cathartic and it's about the healing process of a tired heart that chooses to not give up. it sends shivers down my spine every fucking time i listen to it. fucking hell. i love this band so fucking much. fuck

Why the Persian's name is Ismaël? There's no name Ismaël in the Leroux book.
The name Ismaël comes from Gaston Leroux’s manuscript for Le Fantôme de l’Opéra. In describing his character “the Persian,” Leroux included a word-for-word copy of a passage from an 1857 account of an exiled Persian man of high status who was living in Paris on a British pension. This man’s name was Ismaël. Like Leroux’s character, he frequented the Opera and was known to the Parisian upper classes, and he also lived in an apartment on the Rue de Rivoli. Leroux ended up deleting this copied paragraph, so it does not appear in the Gaulois serialization or the 1st edition of Le Fantôme, but it does show that Leroux was thinking of a specific, and real, person when he developed the Persian.
