ok so what if when edgeworth gets to the hospital in bridge to the turnabout they won’t let him in unless he’s next of kin so he lies and says he’s phoenix’s…..partner, so later when he says “I leave the rest in your capable hands…… partner,” he’s actually making a joke
i am compiling a list of Freaknix wright moments bc. i see absolutely no one talking about his. preferences.

Heeeeey! Here comes:
The seven year gap years are some of the richest for Narumitsu fan fiction. Below are another seven of my favourite seven year gap fics, in no particular order.
Enjoy!

I'm starting the list strong here. Set during the Wright's first visit to Europe, this beautifully written fic is one of my all time favourites. It features strong characterization and dialogue, and a really interesting premise. My only complaint is that it is too short. I've been craving more shared dream stories ever since (Do you know of any? If so, please share in the comments!)

"of course there's a future," edgeworth mutters a little frustratedly, turning away perhaps. "or we would not be here doing this." phoenix's heart flickers on."
This is art. This is prose. This is a word-based painting. The choice of not using capitalization in this story provides a feeling of things ephemeral yet existing outside of time. Feeling like something a little different? Please give this one a chance. It's beautiful.

In keeping in the theme of 'something different,' this stories' use of second person narrative puts you intimately within Phoenix’s shoes. To me, it felt really refreshing and one of the most creative fics I’ve ever read. And it's a good. Recommending it so more people get to be challenged inspired by it!

Every now and then, I come across a hidden gem of a fic. THIS IS ONE OF THEM!!!!! Seriously this was written in 2021!? I keep scrolling up and wondering why the stats aren’t higher! The writing is gorgeous, the dialogue is so well written and the tension so delicately crafted. At the end of that last paragraph, I wanted a cuddle!!! Or to give one to the author or writing and sharing this! I shared this one before in a separate post, it fits this list I would love more people to feel the feels, celebrate and appreciate this work with me :P

A Narumitsu 7 year gap classic that takes place in Germany, shortly after the disbarment. This beautifully written fic has some wonderfully angsty moments and a super smart premise. I've read this one at least 3 times and highly recommended it.

This long fic is recommended for those that like stories of Phoenix slowly emerging out of his hardened shell after the 7year gap. It is written however, from Miles' point of view. The author is skilled and knows how to build tension, laugh out loud humour, and layers of complexity and sweet relief. I lurves it.
Enjoy!

HOO! You know when you come across a fic where people keep smashing their keyboard into gibberish and referencing how they want to lick windows, eat wallpaper etc. etc.? This might be the fic that tempted me into similar behaviour. I keep coming back to this one again and again. And again. There is just something about a cagey Phoenix revealing his strategic mind, or how he and Miles navigate through all the barriers to finally connect... GAH! It just a does something to me. I consider this a Narumitsu classic, written by a Narumitsu master. Yeah, you might of read it before - be kind to yourself and read it again. Highly, highly recommended.

And yes! I do have enough in my bookmarks for a part 4 (heh, and almost enough for a part 5). However many of them are drabbles and short super short fics. Please let me know if you'd like me to share them as a separate list, or as 1 part of another collection of 7!
And that's it for now. I hope you enjoy them all!
