My 20 day challenege officialy starts today, Wednesday May 28th. I was sick for most of Tuesday, sadly. And I am going to be changing the "take a walk outside" because it's going to be over 100 degrees Fahrenheit all week where I live which is not something I want to be outside in. so my goal is to get between 3k and 5k steps a day from staying inside! I will update the original post as well!
excited to update tonight <3
I am looking for specific pilates videos that you guys enjoy to give me some new things to add to my YouTube playlist! What are some videos that didnβt make you breaks a sweat? Videos where you broke the biggest sweat? Easiest? Hardest? Favorite? Least favorite? Please share as your girl is always looking for things to spice up her workout routine! I just ordered three lb dumbbells, a small pilates ball, and resistance bands so videos involving these are welcome as well!!
thanks lovelies π©·
Mini Update August 24, 2023 π
It's been 9 days of me being sick and while I'm still not 100% better, I am feeling so much better than I did this weekend. I finally can talk without pain again, I can drink coffee again, and I can eat food that's not chicken soup again. I still have a bit of a cough, but I really do feel so much better. I'm thankful for my univeristy health center for providing me healthcare and medication because it has helped immensely.
I want to say that I should be back to my regular updates either Sunday or Monday, as I think I will be fully better by then. I miss working out, I miss my morning routine. The sleep has been wonderful in my recovery from this mystery illness (not the vid and not strep, thankfully), but I am a morning person and I love my routines.
I have kept up with my skincare, but honestly, I've been so focused on both keeping up with my schoolwork and trying to rest and heal that I haven't had time for much else.
Some updates on my life:
got rejected from a job I applied for on campus but am still waiting to hear back on the other campus job. I just know I'm gonna get it, it's a matter of when, not if <3
My current job has reduced my hours to 3 days of work a week because of me falling ill, which I understand, although I don't know how that's gonna affect me financially just yet.
I love my classes so far, my professors are pretty cool for the most part and the work is doable as long as I do it in a timely manner.
I love digital note-taking, I don't know why I didn't try it sooner, but I think I am gonna stick with it as I adore aesthetic notes, and my Ipad is so convenient for it as I always have it on me.
Water for the win! I was not used to staying properly hydrated, but since getting sick, I drink over 1 liter of water a day, and it's made all the difference.
I tried a new Korean foaming face wash, and it dried my skin so bad that my face burned and feels super textured now. But I do like the oil cleansing balm I tried. You win some, you lose some.
Thats all for now! Will be back to my normal updates soon, and I'm thinking about posting either my current skincare routine and tips or some school and studying tips? Which would you guys prefer?
Also, I'm about to reach 200 followers and I wanted to say thank you guys! This blog was created as a way to keep me accountable and the way its grown has blown my mind. I feel like I have a community that can help keep me accountable to reach my goals and also keep me encouraged. You guys are amazing!! π©·
Til next time, lovelies!! π©·
Day 14 & 15 - 90 Day Challenge π
So I'm updating for those two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) because I was semi bedridden with pain in my head and stomach for those two days. Even today uve been feeling some odd pins and needles type chest pain at random times. I don't know if it had something to do with Mondays workout, or other personal issues, or even just stress and high cortisol, but I was in a good deal of pain. (I think it's all the stress I'm enduring, tbh)
I did finish some editing for my final paper due tomorrow (that I need to finish entirely today), and i did make it to my cooking class on Tuesday night but geeze I've been in so much uncomfortable pain. And I'm losing my health insurance tomorrow so there's no time to get it checked out, at least not until i figure out how to get other health insurance.
I also recieved to Amazon packages and an ulta package on Tuesday, and my Oxyshred came in the mail yesterday so that was fun, I always love receiving packages.
I'm sorry for not updating properly. I will have a better update for today's accomplishments.

Daily Check-in: April 2nd, 2024 π
Hello lovelies!
I am back with my daily check-ins, so i thought I'd start with April 2nd (even tho I know today is currently April 3rd)! I look forward to regularly posting again!
Tuesday was a rough day for me near the end of the day. I pretty much had an emotional stress-induced breakdown in front of my manager and director, but they were very kind and understanding, and I called my dad, who also was awesome, and helped calm me down. It's sage to say that a packed schedule and lack of sleep definitely don't mix well together!
π©· What I Accomplished Today:
made some actionable steps for improving my health (sleep, nutrition, and fitness areas)
completed Chapter 9 of Spanish Busuu + made flashcards for it
attended my psyc class
completed the assignment for my Friday restaurant class
completed the take home questions for a quiz for psyc
Sent my academic advisor a filled out roadmap
π©· Good Things That Happened:
one of my accountability buddies sent me a pdf of a Spanish textbook that I was able to download to my goodnotes, which is exciting!
I tried a restaurant on campus that I had never had before, and it was absolutely so delicious
my coworker is going to cover my shift on Friday evening, so I'll have time to relax/catch up on things
Got good advice from my supervisor about life stuff
π What Could've Been Better:
I need to reevaluate who I call my "friends" at work after a couple of interactions I've had with people I had considered my friends
Learned that over crowding my plate when already not sleeping well is not a good life combination and will send me to burnout a lot faster
On that same note, I do feel like I still need to learn to manage my time effectively. It's a hard skill to master but I did it before
my professor for psyc was 15 minutes late to class and then proceeded to continue lecturing 5+ minutes after. I felt bad leaving but I had a study room to go to
So that was my April 2nd! Today, I also have a busy schedule. I have an early morning in person meeting with an advisor for Finance majors (I may be adding a finance 2nd major....stay tuned), and then less then 2 hours later i have a meeting with my advisor for my current major. I know she's not going to be happy about me adding a 2nd major but ehh, if it'll benefit my future, then I want to do it.

Daily Check-in: April 3rd, 2024 π
Today was a weird day. My anxiety was off the walls, and I think it's because that time of the month decided to occur, which is throwing me way off. Birth control has made that not happen for 2 years so, I was definitely caught off guard. (omg I hope that's not tmi, it's just something I gotta deal with again as a woman)
π©· What I Accomplished Today:
Reviewed Spanish Busuu Chapters 6 and 7
Reviewed all flashcards once fully through
listened to one podcast episode in spanish
completed question set about renal nutrition from my dietitian mentor
met with an advisor regarding adding a 2nd major in finance
met with my advisor and got some good advice before adding the 2nd major
emailed the director of the Dietetic program at my college to schedule a meeting
wrote chemistry notes (need to finish and catch up with this week - I've missed both lectures)
completed a chemistry homework assignment
planned tasks for tomorrow
met with dietitian mentor
scrubbed my toilet clean
π©· Good Things That Happened:
got an extension on my chem lab report
got confirmation of taking a make up quiz for my psyc class
took an hour nap
got excused from lecture and lab today (going to make it up tomorrow)
met most of my goal tasks
my meetings with the advisors went really well
got to talk to my dad per usual, and he was supportive of the 2nd major stuff
my boyfriend was supportive of my 2nd major stuff
met a super cute blue heeler puppy that was so cute and friendly, tho she did cut my thumb slightly but it's okay cause she's just a puppy
got 7k steps in today
π©· What Could've Been Better:
could've managed my anxiety a bit better
could've been more productive instead of doing my "productive procrastination"
need to stop trying to do academic things while sitting in bed
need to stop trying to stay awake when I randomly wake up at 4am
need to drink more water, for sure
need to work on better nutrition
Today was a weird day. But that's okay. Weird days do happen. I know now what made it weird, and I'll adapt.

So far I'm on the right track! I feel like that'd be a good idea!

π Stuff For Friday:

I love this!!! It's such a cute guide to wonyoungism, and it's super helpful for people starting out with this kind of aesthetic lifestyle !!
π©·π©·π©·π©·
wonyoungism is inspired by jang wonyoung and mixes a coquette, cute, pink pilates princess style with self improvement to help us become the best and healthiest versions of ourselves!
ways to express wonyoungism
have a morning routine
a morning routine helps set the tone for the rest of your day. while you can include whatever you want, typical wonyoungism morning routines include waking up early, stretching, skincare, drinking tea or lemon water, and doing your makeup and hair. do what works for you and makes you feel the best!
take care of your skin
research your skin type and find what products and routines will work best for you. no need for fancy or expensive products! in my experience, minimalism works best for my skin. a good cleanser and moisturizer are key, but you can also include things like toner, exfoliating scrubs, night cream, eye cream, and serums if you need or want them. wonyoung is an ambassador for innisfree skincare products, like these:
have a nutritious, balanced diet
having a nutritious diet keeps you healthy and energized, helps your skin and hair, makes you feel good, and has so many other benefits! focus on getting your daily servings of fruit and veggies and getting your protein and other nutrients and vitamins in, but donβt restrict yourself to the point of bad mental health. hereβs a good chart to start with!
find a daily exercise regimen
most workouts youβll find with wonyoungism are pilates, walking, and yoga (which i highly recommend!) but find a workout plan that YOU like! there are so many different types of workouts out there, and you shouldnβt force yourself to do something you hate. try out different things and figure out what works best for you. if you do want to practice pilates and yoga, here are some good channels on youtube:
move with nicole
dansique fitness
yoga with kassandra
eleni fit
sanne vloet
bailey brown
implement productive habits into your day
instead of mindlessly scrolling in your free time, try to implement productive and healthy activities. these things can include:
working out or stretching
drawing or painting
researching something that interests you
learn a new skill or a new language
read
write short stories
make a new playlist
go outside/go for a walk/spend time in nature
journal
make a vision board
be kind to yourself
sounds self explanatory, but it can be so much harder than it sounds for some of us. it may take some time, but realize that you are only human and you are doing the best you can. itβs okay to not feel as healthy or happy as you think you should, but you are absolutely valid and it is okay to be gentle with yourself. you are the only you there will ever be, embrace being you!
have an evening routine
evening/night routines are important because it closes out your day and gets you ready for a good nights sleep. itβs so helpful to have an evening routine that helps you wind down and get relaxed mentally and physically. this can include whatever makes you feel calm and happy, but it can also include things like stretching, lighting a candle, skincare, reading, meditation, and drinking a warm drink like tea!
April 7th, 2025 π
My brain did not let me study or do much this weekend and it was seriously bugging me, but I'm trying not to beat myself up about it because it was that time of month and lately it has been messing with me hard whenever it's that time of month. Plus, work was really tiring this weekend and I've been a little stressed out about some things.
What I Accomplished (April 6th) π
completed and passed a quiz for one of my online classes
worked 9am to 3pm
took a 40 min nap on the couch
worked on my study guide for health psychology for ~10min
chatted with my roommates for a while
Not the most productive day yesterday, but it was not a bad day. I was super tired and anxious yesterday, but I had a decent day regardless.
Todo Today (April 7) β¨οΈ
study for exercise physiology exam π
make study quizlet for health psych π»
work on study guide for health psych βοΈ
work 230pm to ~930pm βοΈ
double check on classes before registering for next semester π«£
skincare before work πΏ
skincare after work π§΄
make to do list for tomorrow π‘
Not an extensive list, but just stuff I need to get done. My health psych exam is Thursday and I believe my exercise physiology exam opens on Friday. I have a couple of small projects coming due next week, and some assignments that need completing later this week. It's lock in time now that the semester is almost over.
