Daily Check-in: April 14, 2024 ๐
Hello lovelies! Life is looking better again, but omg was Wednesday thru Saturday morning rough for me. Even last night I was crying my eyes out, but things got better today so I am happy. I want to make a small announcement about the future of my blog: I am changing the theme!! I will still be keeping the pinterest-image, pink, girly aesthetic for my more general posts (lists, routines, etc) but for my daily check ins, I will be using photos I take myself (anonymous surroundings, notes, food/drinks, etc) and colors and emojis that compliment the photos! I have been wanting to change the vibe a bit lately to make it more me, more personal, and I think now is the time to do so! I'm excited to start taking my own photos now, that'll be so fun!!

washed my sheets, towels, blankets, and comforter
washed and put away all laundry
cleaned the bathroom
packed shoes to ship from my depop shop
cooked chicken fettuccine alfredo from scratch (I made the sauce myself too! it was heavy on the parm and some pieces of chicken were salty, but it was so yummy and rich in flavor!)
planned out some of my week
packed my gym bag for tomorrow (I'm gonna start working out again, I'm nervous)
did my guided journal and morning journal
read 3 chapters of The Untethered Soul (interesting so far, going to keep reading to see how I enjoy it)
wrote out my brain dump for the week
reflected on the week + updated with my accountability buddies
bought groceries (time to make smoothies for breaky this week) and toiletries

my pasta was super yummy
had a long phone call with my dad (it was a good talk!)
finally read a physical book and not on my ipad
had such a nice, long shower early this morning

my psyc assignment got extended til Wednesday for the whole class

the ability to be in college and pursue my academic endeavors + enrich my education
today is going to be a good day. also, I am loving the photos I took and posted! they are my original photos, so please do not use them <3 slowly changing to a better, more authentic aesthetic <3 I apologize for my inconsistent updates, life has been crazy right now. working 40 hours a week on top of classes has been a lot, I'm not gonna lie. But I know what I'm capable of, and I'm excited to establish some routines and achieve my goals!

Sunday was wayyyy more productive than I had initially planned, and I still had taken a nap! I love those kinds of days so much!

worked a ~7hour shift (on a station I have never run before for a full shift, and dare I say I did wonderfully) ๐
took an 1.5hour nap
completed and aubmitted my 2 pre lab assignments for chem
completed and submitted my weekly quiz for chem (got a 16/20, so I only missed 2 questions)
completed my part 1 and part 2 assignments for intro to business
completed my email introduction assignment for intro to business
took some psyc textbook notes
made some delicious boiled potstickers as a late night snack
video called my boyfriend

didn't study japanese but am definitely going to create a consistent study routine now that I found a teacher I like on italki for Japanese
need to fill out my planner for the month cause I have so much that I forgot to put in there
I took the "second skin" off my tattoo cause it was kinda gross and dang it does my tattoo itch. I know that means it's healing but ughhhh, I hate the itching
I forgot to get my Netflix subscription back. my boyfriend and I are starting weekly video call date nights (so like watching a movie or TV show together over video call) and Netflix is the easiest so I gots to get it again
need to rewrite my budget to hopefully fit monthly payments for a Mac into my budget
on that note, need to research what MacBook I want to purchase when I get paid next because I think it'd be more beneficial to use for school instead of my current chromebook (especially since I have an Ipad)
gotta make time to do some adulting tasks this week

I meant to post updates for yesterday and today but of course, the universe just had to send me into a depressive episode right as I was feeling good about working on myself.
I am going to focus on establishing a productive and healthy morning routine for now and be gentle with myself when it comes to what I manage to accomplish in the evenings after an 8 hour work day. I will still have my goals for the evenings, but sometimes I have to be flexible with my energy and that's okay.
I'm going to continue with working on myself and emulating the lifestyle I wish to achieve. I believe in myself and my abilities. Not everyday is going to be a great or even a good day, but regardless, I will be proud of the efforts I make.
This is a journey, a marathon, and I want to enjoy all the daily things and little wins that I can manage given my energy and situations that may arise.

I know I said I was switching themes, but I didn't get any good pictures yesterday so the theme switch will occur once I learn how to take pictures that I find acceptable!
Anywho, Monday started off good, then got bad, and I'm hoping Tuesday will be better. Got a lot done, but got off work super late. Anxious about lots of job and financial stuff. It's hard being a girl in this economy.

Listened to 2 spanish podcast episodes of ABC la Productividad
studied through some Spanish flashcards
completed my medical terminology lecture, flashcards, self test, and timed test

worked an ~8 hour shift
read a chapter of The Untethered Soul
got to eat some yummy leftover chicken alfredo pasta for dinner at work
shipped off the shoes I sold on depop

my co-worker friend brought me some of her K-pop merch she didn't want!
talked to my dad on the phone
had a really nice morning routine
my pasta was still super yummy
made a berry banan smoothie and an avo bagel with an egg for breakfast, it was devine
cleaned my station at work extra good (detailed the stainless steel, cleaned out some fridges, scrubbed my floors, etc)
my friend got a 2nd coffee for free at work and gave it to me (iced Caramel macchiato for the win!)

my boyfriend and I are having major issues and I'm struggling emotionally at the moment
went to bed super late because of work
didn't shower before bed (gross, I know but I made sure to shower Tuesday morning and am going tk wash my sheets on Sunday)

Monday was such a good day, I'm so so happy with that. Work went good, my friend brought the chocolate covered strawberries I bought, I studied Spanish and did a bunch of homework. Such a good day!

did minimum night skincare + showered after work
drank ~80oz of water (maybe more? I didn't keep track the best but I kept refilling my bottle before it was completely empty)
did my entire morning routine (I really enjoy my morning journaling, morning movement, making my bed, doing my skincare, all of it)
signed up for summer cleaning work for the first month before I leave to another state for work
๐ Good Things That Happened:
got the onboarding information for my work in another state for 8 weeks this summer
my co worker and I found out were going to be roommates for the summer work in another state! she's the sweetest and I'm really looking forward to hanging out with her!
recieved the chocolate covered strawberries I bought to support my friend's trip to Italy this summer (it's to help his major!) (I ended up buying more....they were so yummy)
closed my station very efficiently at work and got complimented by my supervisor on how I did
found out I passed the multiple choice part of my latest chemistry exam with a 92! just waiting on the one handwritten question to get graded!
am going to be able to pick up some extra hours this week, thankfully

Day 16 - 90 Day Challenge ๐
I was still in a lot of pain yesterday (Thursday), it was a very odd pain, but I've woken up today (Friday) and it's finally gone! I'm excited because now I can move around without that uncomfortable feeling. I still didn't do much yesterday but I figured it was worth an update, regardless. That's the point of this challenege. Accountability and consistency.

found out the gym hours for my campus gym for the first part of winter break so I can schedule in gym time for then too

I actually did a good amount of things yesterday, surprising with how much time I spent in bed not feeling like myself. But today is going to be a good day! My goals for today are to have a decent morning routine, finish and submit my final research study paper for my psyc class, attend the make up lab session for anatomy, attend the lan session for my psyc final exam (that's on monday), go to the gym, and make it through my work shift.

Tuesday was so so so so soooooo tiring omg. It's Wednesday and I'm still recovering from how exhausting Tuesday was. It was a good day, but geesh I'm so happy I'll have time off from school and work soon.

There was some good yesterday, and definitely some bad. One of my favorite supervisors said he's quitting at the end of this semester (3 days), and I'm so sad because he was genuinely good at his job but I understand that his bosses weren't the best and the management at our job is overall crappy most times. But hopefully, my other favorite supervisor doesn't quit tho i know she feels the same, too. There's a reason I'm getting a 2nd job right now.

When it comes to affirmations, I like to search through tumblr for affirmations that match my feelings or desires, and I will write them on post-it notes and keel them within sight. I change them up depending on mood and current desires, but they always help me with my mindset!
But yeah, searching through tumlr blogs that post affirmations that match my needs is what I suggest, as it's what's worked best for me! <3

Last night, I was decently productive to the point where I was actually proud of what I was able to accomplish. It was a nice feeling. I'm still grappling with the thoughts of what to do in regards to continuing my education, if I go the community college (Medical Assisting) route or continue with my university (Nutrition and Dietetics), despite the possible financial issues I'll be facing.
What I Accomplished Yesterday (March 28th) โจ๏ธ
did a hydrating face mask (it was amazing)
washed and put away a load of laundry
paid my rent
wrote out some chapter 8 notes + chapter 8 vocabulary notes for health and exercise psychology
wrote out a solid chunk of my chapter 9 notes for exercise physiology (need to finish chapter 9 and start chapter 10 asap, but that's what I get for being 2 chapters behind)
journaled about some stuff going on in my head (mostly the continuing education stuff that's been plaguing my thoughts)
studied/did schoolwork for a total of 122 minutes
looked at potential classes I could take + other options for switching to the community college here in town
Yesterday was definitely a decent day in terms of stuff I was able to get done, but I also know I slacked off A LOT. More than I am comfortable with having slacked off. I'm slowly getting back into my school grind mindset, especially with the semester coming to an end soon. I really want to get my grades back up where I need them to be and end the semester on a high note, with a good GPA and a sense of pride in knowing I tried.
