Prefiero la compañía de los animales, ellos son mucho más simples (…) Los motivos por los que se puede querer tanto a un animal con tanta intensidad; es porque se trata de un afecto sin ambivalencia, de la simplicidad de una vida liberada de los insoportables conflictos de la cultura. Los perros son más simples, no tienen la personalidad dividida, la maldad del hombre civilizado ni la venganza del hombre contra la sociedad por las restricciones que ella impone.

ONE YEAR LATE

In this 1937 photo, the passenger-carrying airship Hindenburg is seen at the moment of exploding midair in Lakehurst, New Jersey. The disaster claimed the lives of 36 and marked the end of the era of passenger-carrying airships.
