please read:

frame is decor but the included mattresses makes it functional!

i extracted the mattresses myself from an ea double bed and bunk bed (therefore, you need generations installed)

use moveobjects on bc some of the items dont snap on right!

sims will clip thru the bottom mattress to get to the top and also doesn't have proper ladder animations bc of the way i made it (i would change it but im done with this set LOL)

the top bunk CASt channels won't show unless you click the preset in the top left corner (it will reset it)

i just remeshed the cheap bunk bed from generations, so it looks similar!

AF Basics

Some simple maxis match things I made for the ladies. I had more on my to-do list but I ran out of motivation.

Turtleneck sweater, tucked in

All I did was chop off the bottom part of the base game's turtleneck sweater as I wanted a tucked in version. It will not play nicely with any bottoms that are not high-waisted!! Looks really cute with patterns though.

Tennis skirt

I edited the base game pleated skirt to be high-waisted. Looks really cute with patterns.

Diesel High-Kee Jeans

I edited these Diesel jeans to be more high-waisted than they originally were. They have a slightly oversized fit. Base game compatible.

The skirt and jeans are pretty versatile, I love pairing them with anything by billsims on TSR.

None of them are maternity-morphed because I'm lazy and struggle enough to complete things as it is but you're welcome to make your own edits.

The grocery store can be set up in two ways

1 - Non-Functional Grocery Store: Used as a normal community lot with a custom grocery rabbithole rug. (I’ve already placed one on the lot) and if you have World Adventures, you can buy groceries with the Food register :)

2 - Functional Grocery Store: Your sim is able to buy grocery items (with ani’s merchant mod + Ani’s ration box mod) that gives them random fruits, vegetables,  fish and meat to then be able to cook (with the cook with any ingredients Mod).+ (Placed Rabbithole already on the lot)

"This mod for The Sims 3 grants your mermaids, teen and above, new oceanic abilities. From creating whirlpools to commanding sharks, your mermaids can now truly be part of the ocean. The mod focuses mostly on the underwater aspects of being mermaids, but there are of course also abilities that can be used on the surface as well. This is my biggest mod yet and contains over 60 new animations, so it's kind of a mini expansion pack :D For this mod to work properly, especially when it comes to the underwater powers, you will need to have NRaas Hybrid installed. Tutorial: quicker way to remap hair UV in blender for conversion

Hey everyone, what's up? I want to share a small tip for quickly rearranging UV maps when converting TS4 hairstyles. This tutorial won't cover the other steps involved in converting hairstyles and assumes you already have some knowledge of creating CC. Anyway, I'll try to explain it clearly and let's get started :)

First, you can export the original SIMS 4 texture and crop out the square portion at the top left corner that represents the hairstyle (from left to right).

Next, in Blender, import the hairstyle you want to convert. After importing the original SIMS 4 texture, your interface should look something like this. In "Viewport Shading" button, you can select "Texture".

Then, select "Open Image" in the bottom left corner, and import the newly cropped texture. Your UV map should appear stretched in the new image.

Now comes the most important step. You'll see a 2D cursor in the UV view on the left. Use the scroll wheel to zoom in on the image, and then left-click to position the center of the 2D cursor at the top-left corner edge. In the toolbar below, find the "pivot" button and select "2D cursor". Finally, press "a" to select all UVs, then press "s"+"2", "s"+"y"+"2" to scale the UVs to the correct size.

This way, you'll directly get a UV map that corresponds to the texture with 99.9% accuracy, without any additional adjustment. Hope this is helpful for you all!

Completely Neutral Unfurnished - 4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms

This house is unfurnished because I cbf to search for the CC I would've used if it was furnished. The only CC has been linked in my google doc that has all my builds CC linked

Bubble Tea Counter - Boba-fied!

23 March update:

Fixed the Lychee flavor material so it properly corresponds and doesn't give mint chocolate

Fixed the issue with the interaction cancelling out before your Sim can put the boba in your inventory. It should go in the inventory each time you order to go

Fixed low res mesh to show the boba cup (there will only be one texture for this. I may update later but doing several material states can be time consuming and I don't play in low res)

This is Boba-fied version of the bubble tea counter from @twinsimming's Tea Time Set conversion. When I saw the ThrifTea shop in HSY, I really wanted it in TS3 and then Twin did the thang and converted it for us TS3 simmers. With this mod, your Sims can buy boba tea from the counter.

You can buy 11 different flavors: the 5 flavors from HSY (Taro, Strawberry Matcha, Chocolate/Mocha, Lychee, and Mango) as well as 6 flavors converted from OniSims: Chocolate Banana, Mint Chocolate, Strawberry, Peach, Brown Sugar and Pistachio. Certain Sims will get a positive moodlet after drinking it.

Sims can purchase a boba tea to go and will put it in their inventory immediately after purchase. You can also make a group order to get 4 which comes in a cute little beverage carrier (pictured above).

Finally, I added the option to get a customer loyalty card. Keep it in your inventory and you will get a free boba drink after every 10 purchases. It's not linked to the individual so you can share it among your household.

Credits/Thanks: Boba drinks converted from TS4 by me. The nice (aka, not EA ones) textures are from OniSims. The beverage carrier mesh is from Modish Kitten which I edited to fit the boba cups. Thanks also to Arsil (wherever they may be) whose custom beverage script was helpful in teaching me...well how to make a custom beverage. Custom buff image is from FlatIcons. And of course, thanks to Twin, who converted the set in the first place. I'm only including the updated counter so make sure to download the rest of her set here!

Notes:

Sims will autonomously purchase if they're hungry. If there's boba lying around, Sims will autonomously drink unless they're stuffed.

I disabled autonomy for to-go and group purchases because hungry Sims will keep choosing these options and then not getting it from their inventory and then keep ordering more.

Children cannot purchase boba because there's no animation for it but they can of course drink it, however, if they're talking while holding a cup, it's a little weird. I think because there's no bar glass animation for kids. They don't stretch or anything, the cup just goes sideways.

Maids will throw away the beverage carrier even if there's still boba cups in it so if your maid is around, best to take the cups out of the tray or move the tray back into your inventory.

When buying a group order, dummy boba drinks are added to the tray and then the real drinks are added after. The thumbnail shows as strawberry matcha but it will be whatever flavor you ordered.

Colour Block Sweater

This is my mesh and texture edit of a sweater originally made by All About Style. Listen, this sweater will always be famous to me. I still remember when everyone was putting graphics and stencils on this during the height of TS3 Simblr. A classic.

I have just edited the mesh and textures a little bit, and redid the channels with 2 simple colour block designs plus a gradient design (not shown). Could be worn with jeans, chinos, sweats, gym shorts... just a really cozy and cute sweater for daily life.

There are 6 presets. Three of them have 4x4 pattern tiling, the other three have 8x8 pattern tiling.

One of the first cc I ever made was a gradient edit of this sweater, so I thought I would revisit the idea.

SimPrint | Newspapers, payphones, and extras for TS3!

The SimTimes finally found room in their budget for color printing of their newspapers! The bad news is, no one reads them anymore. Maybe they'll start now? In other news, The SimNation Telecom Company has been required by law to reactivate disconnected payphones to promote accessiblity to phone connectivity for all. Here's a quarter - go tell someone who might care! Important info and download 💾 under the cut:

This is an assortment of items that I worked on in 2022 and 2023. Most of this is comprised of different newspaper default replacement sets, the textures of which I converted from a few different creators. Additionally, you will find a few different things here... STC Payphone - Network Connected Original creator: Grande Lama I made this phone fully functional, and added geostates for when the phone is in use and when the handset is back on the hook. I also made this phone available in the in-game world editor, and it's flagged for use in CAW as well, so you can place it in your CAW metadata and use in worlds. It does function off-lot (as photographed!)

Crosley Simlish Serenity Payphone Original creator: ArwenKaboom (for The Sims 4 @TSR) I converted this phone and made it fully functional, and like the abovementioned phone, added geostates. I also added Simlish textures for all of the details and writing on the phone. I included the English ones too for those who might prefer them.

Functional Newspaper Stands and Dispensers Original creators: ATS3, phoebejay, alienpod, Episims, VeganKaktus, Budgie I figured I'd add the textures for the various newspapers to newspaper stands and dispensers that alienpod converted and added their textures to. They require the actual script from PhoebeJay to work. Without it, they will be decorative items. They can also be placed off-lot in the in-game world editor or in CAW. PhoebeJay's mod Simlish Bus Texture Override Original creators: FreshPrince, Lyralei As someone who probably spent half of their uni years on public transit, I was so excited for Lyralei's Bus Manager mod and was happy to test it out while testing my tennis mod. At some point I did a quick Simlish recolor override for the signs, license plates, and side-wraps, and I figured I'd share it now with this set! Lyralei Bus Manager Mod I also threw in a few deco book objects I converted from TS2 quite a while ago that I enjoy using in my lots! The newspaper default replacement texture varieties come from the following TS2 creators: Alienpod: Newspaper Defaults Epi's Sims: Newspaper Default Replacements VeganKaktus: Newspaper Default Replacement

I included replacement textures for both the reading version and the folded up versions of the newspapers. Please note that, like with my tennis default replacements, you can only have one active newspaper default replacement in your game at once. Each default includes both the reading and matching folded version. The variety is there in case you would want to switch it up between different saves and/or worlds! Making these made me so nostalgic for the early 2000s...walking to the store with a payphone outside to make an important call and getting a coke ICEE for the journey to visit grandma who has a Crosley phone in her kitchen...our sims deserve that.
