"...well, this is quite a scene." Poppy placed a hand on her chin, watching the scene from Kissy's shoulder.

The two monster toys followed the two individuals around with their eyes, as they ran across their base, which was all but temporary, and the one place they deemed safe and amicable to make a "home". Given their distraction, the shenanigan was all, if not intriguing.

At first, you'd get an instant memory of when you have to bathe your dog, since the ordeal is just the same; having to chase them around the house, or either coax them into the bath tub with some peanut butter.

This case, however, was the former.

"A-Angel!" Dogday squeaks, his arms flailing as he dragged himself around the room, a bashful smile on his face as he tried to run away from you, as you were also hot on his tail (not pun intended, despite Dogday still having a small tail, which surprised you the first time you found out), chasing him around the room in circles, tho of course making sure to keep it at a steady pace to allow Dogday to make a run for it (also not pun intended), keeping the atmosphere playful.

You had a mischiveous smirk plastered on your face, also crawling like Dogday, like a predator with its prey, as you went after him, trying to grab him, but he managed to escape for brief moments.

"Angel- Angel, please," Your companion stammers, trying to sweet talk himself out of the situation. "K-Kid, Angel- Our beacon of hope, our sunshine- don't!"

"What's going on now?" Poppy finally asked, feeling confused but also intrigued, as she could tell the hilarity of the situation. "Why do you keep chasing him?"

You chuckle on your own, explaining the situation just well despite Dogday's stumbled excuses.

"...you wanna hear what again?" Poppy blinked in bewilderment, while Kissy Missy tilted her head.

"It's all lies!" The bisected dog yelped, tossing a pillow in your direction, but you dodge it with ease. "There's nothing to check, and there's no reason for you to- Ahhh!!"

Whatever threat he had in his tongue went away as you decided to put your Grabpack to good use, the hands immediately wrapping Dogday's waist and pulling him closer as they retracted. How utterly convenient.

"Angel- Angel, come on- Please- Please!" Dogday started to babble, putting his hands up in defense as your smirk turned into a wicked grin, wiggling your fingers at him.

"P-Please, have mercy!" He cries, even tho you haven't even started yet. "Please, no-OHOHOHOHO!!" Until you did, your fingers scrambling all over his stomach, right below where he kept his belt.

"Ooh, you guys are having a tickle fight!" Poppy chirps, finally connecting the dots with a smile. "Well, just be sure to not make too much noise, otherwise-"

"SNRK-!!" A loud, raspy noise broke into the room, and when Poppy and Kissy looked, they saw Dogday covering his mouth, his cheeks even redder than Poppy's hair.

You grin in satisfaction, your fingers stilling right where they had scratched.

Dogday shoots you a stern look, but it doesn't hold the malice he intends to, given his flustered state.

"A-Angel- HGGK!!" Alas, it was Dogday that made the noise, his hands reaching for your wrists to pry them away from where they were; on that particular spot where his bandages began, everytime you tickled him there, you'd manage to trigger his squeaker, the which was very worn out by now, but the way it made Dogday sound was utterly adorable.

"Aww, it's like a piggy!" Poppy giggled dearly, with Kissy flapping her hands in delight. The owner of the snort-esque squeaks grumbled loudly.

"Nooooo..." He whines, but soon "snorted" once more as you tickled him again. "Okahahahay! That's enough!"

Dogday: “Angel!”

Y/n: “Hello, Dogday, Doey.

You handed the two a can of soup.

Doey: “Thank you, angel. It’s so nice of you to find food for us. It’s been a year since we last ate, but thanks to you, the toys have energy and are fed.”

Y/n: “Hey, someone needs to help you out.”

Dogday: “I’m so glad you’re okay, Angel.”

Y/n: “Thanks, Dogday.”

As the others continued eating, you thought about that tape you found. About Poppy. As much as you didn’t want to see her. You needed answers.
