Roadtrip hacks for littles 🚗❤️ ⁠ ⁠ This is one of my biggest fantasies! I’d love to strap my boy into a car seat and implement all the mommy hacks I’ve heard for a road trip like… ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Pack surprise toys. Put them in gift bags and every few hours let them open one. ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Bring an iPad with their favorite videos downloaded. Mount it on the back of the seat. Don’t forget a charger + car adapter.⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Leave at a strategic time when you know your baby is going to nap. If you leave when they have a ton of energy they could get very fussy.  ⁠ ⁠ ⭐Clip things to them and their seat. Paci, bottle, stuffed animals, or whatever. I know my boy loves to throw things to get my attention. If they’re clipped to him he can’t. ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ SNACKS. You can never have too many. My baby loves Puffs, Goldfish, and Cheerios. Put them in a spill-proof snack cup to avoid getting crumbs all over your car. ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Prep multiple bottles or sippy cups before you leave the house. Mix their water with a little bit of juice to encourage them to drink more and stay hydrated. ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Wear them out. If you stop for gas let them get out of their seat and walk around so they are calmer in the car.  ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Pack a cookie sheet with a lip around the edge. They can use it as a tray to eat, color, and play on. They’re also magnetic so you can glue magnets to the back of a puzzle. ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ If you want a mess-free alternative to painting, get one of those paint by water books from the dollar store, cut a sponge to fit into their snack cup, and add water. They can paint without the mess. ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Bring a neck pillow so your little can sleep more comfortably without their head bobbing all over the place.   ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Have them go pants-less. They’ll be more comfortable and it will make it easier to reach back and check their diaper. ⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Stop to nurse when they get fussy. A hack for all you mommies out there.
