Pairing: Strangeness and Charm
I’ve done nothing but squeal over Henry Jekyll singing ever since the latest TGS update was posted, and I will continue to fangirl over it for a while yet. That is a promise.
With that in mind, some Discord conversations with @mezzanottespazzatura led to the idea of singing for one another, and that idea spawned this idea of singing together instead. The only thing better than singing for your crush is the both of you singing together, after all!
(This is the song I was listening to while writing this. “The Parting Glass” was one of the songs I thought I’d sing in exchange, and I’m pretty fond of this version!)

“So. I…ah, I heard from Jasper that you can sing.”
Not for the first time—and likely not for the last time—Henry was thankful he hadn’t actually been taking a drink of the wine on his desk. He likely would have spat it out in surprise at Alexis’ sudden question. No, not a question. A statement.
“Did he now?” He asked instead, doing his best to keep his voice level as he did so. He shouldn’t be surprised, it seemed like every lodger here was a bit of a gossip to some extent or another, and with all the time Alexis and Jasper spent exchanging notes the conversation likely would have come up eventually….God, he just hoped nobody else had heard about this.
“What about it?”
Alexis blinked in surprise, glancing off to the side.
“It’s…it’s nothing. I was curious, I’ll admit, and wanted to hear, but I don’t expect you to sing on demand.”

It crept up upon him not long after midnight had struck and all of his servants were sound asleep in their part of the house. Moonlight peaked through the curtains as Dr Jekyll snored softly, his tall form resting upon its side while he slept in his empty expansive bed. His sleep was seemingly dreamless.
