i love going to the wikipedia pages of subjects my favorite media references and seeing that they appear on the "in popular culture" part
I love To Be Hero X's first arcs. Impersonating a dead guy and you become him. Impersonating an alive guy and you become him. And then it's the messy work of clawing your way out of these bodies, these identities you've stolen. I am enjoying every minute of the horrors, guys. Who are you? Are you real? Are you sure?
what if you wore a shirt that featured a picture of you trying to claw your way out of the shirt with a horrid desperate expression and the text "THAT'S NOT ME THAT'S NOT ME I'M TRAPPED IN THE SHIRT"

So for yesterday's Maya May analysis post, I talked about how in the Japanese version of Ace Attorney, Maya likes miso ramen instead of burgers.
I think burgers is a fun localization! Ramen is considered a kind of "fast food" in Japan, and burgers is fun and casual in a similar way to ramen. Plus, burgers and ramen alike have roots in other cuisines, German and Chinese respectively.
Howeverrrrrr as someone born and raised in Southern California and spent most of her adulthood in Los Angeles, I often enjoy the thought, "What if the food Maya enjoyed in the English localization were tacos?" I made this drawing a while ago but never thought to post it.
The image of Phoenix and Maya having lunch at a taco truck or a mom 'n pop taqueria during an investigation is just too vivid in my head lol
My uncle who's never had a girlfriend and his "best friend" arriving to prepare dinner for 24th. Felices fiestas navideñas a todos! Cómo lo celebraron?
"Junpei, I will never forget you. But please, forget me. You need to forget..."
