unfortunate that the united states has been very successful at controlling narratives around word war 2 and positioning itself as the polar opposite of nazism and the main force fighting fascism when america was complicit in the holocaust. not only did american press report positively about hitler and the nazi party up until the end of the 30′s, some publications cooperated with nazi germany, american companies had investments and connections to nazi germany that they maintained until american involvement in the war, and companies like ibm in particular gave nazis the technology necessary to make the holocaust possible in the first place. some company owners themselves had nazi sympathies like henry ford and others just saw it as a business opportunity. the us denied entry to european jewish refugees and deported jewish refugees back to germany, many senators and other government officials during the 1930s openly supported nazism and worked to prevent the us from taking a side in ww2, and during the 30s large pro nazi rallies were held across the us. american eugenics movement, american race laws and american genocide set the model for the holocaust and there shouldnt be any discussion of nazism and the holocaust without also discussing the extent of american complicity in it.
anyways heres some material on it
ibm and the holocaust
hitlers american friends
ap press cooperation with nazis

Are you aware that Iran is about to implement facial recognition software and cameras in public places and on public transportation to capture and prosecute women for bad hijab?
That means there will be a lot more women like Mahsa Amini in the future.
That's another reason the people of Iran are fighting their government in the streets. They truly fear what small freedoms they used to have being taken away by a totalitarian despotic Islamic surveillance state.
POV a male character exists and Tumblr finds out
[ID: a drawing of a stickman, on which is text which reads as follows. 'OMG my poor little meow meow, war criminal, he's my girlfriend, bi but no one wants him, I could make him worse, manipulate mansplain malewife (sparkling heart emoji.)' End ID]
In this tutorial we’ll teach you how to make a copy of your Tumblr blog onto WordPress.com to act as a backup.
The first two steps don’t need to be followed if you already use WordPress.com.

You need a WordPress.com blog, simply follow the steps to select your username and confirm your account via email.
2. Open WordPress Admin
Click on My Site
Select the WP Admin you wish to import into
3. Visit the import tools page
In the sidebar menu select ‘tools’ and then ‘import’.
4. Select import from Tumblr
5. Allow Tumblr access
Click the ‘Connect to Tumblr to begin’ button. You may need to log into Tumblr if you haven’t already. Be sure to allow access to WordPress.com
6. Start the import!
Once authenticated you can select your Tumblr blog from the list of your blogs and click on ‘Import this blog’.
And you’re done, WordPress.com takes care of the rest and will create a copy of your posts onto your WordPress.com blog.

I just read that Donald Trump and his circus took down a website called reproductiverights.gov
This was a website to help women learn about their reproductive rights in the US and to find health care.
This is absolutely disgusting so I’ll share in this post some resources in case you need them:

This a a reminder to not fall victim to the sunk-cost fallacy. Just because you invested time and energy into something, does not mean you should indefinitely waste more time and energy on it, if you decide it’s not what you want anymore. This goes for anything, from books, to relationships, to jobs, to hobbies, etc.
If it’s not serving you anymore, move on.
Zhina Amini (Reported as Mahsa Amini, her birth name) a Kurdish woman was killed earlier this month by the morality police in Iran for wearing a headscarf in what they deemed to be an improper manner. Protests have since broken out across the country and a number of other Iranians have been killed since.
The internet has been shut down in many places and deaths are incredible common. The last time the Iranian government shut down the internet like this, over a thousand people died.
So what can you do?
Share Iranian people’s words and news about what is going on.
Recognize that this is not about Islam but about a tyrannical government (so don’t use this as an excuse to be Islamophobic). These people need our support, not our commentary.
Help support Iranians gain access to proxies through apps like the Tor Project’s Project Snowflake. This will pair you, who is likely in a safer country (I say as someone in the US who assumes much of following is in North America or Europe), with an Iranian person trying to access the internet as long as you are online. This is a really simple step you can take to help Iranians connect to the outside world so they can use their voices and let loved ones know they are alive.
