I stare at my roommate. He’s losing it.
"He's not a cat, okay?! I saw him. He was walking—like a full-on human—and then just turned into a cat. I've heard him talk! In cat form!" (He points dramatically at the fluffy traitor.) "Say something!" "Meow."
I snort. "I don’t know... seems like a cat to me."
He storms out.
I turn to the cat. "You have to be more careful." The cat looks up at me and shrugs. "I dunno. I just like messing with him."

He stayed for a week, purging the ghost — or demon, or whatever — from her house. Funny thing though… Shortly after, my house suddenly became haunted too. So naturally, I called him. Again. For the ghost. Or the demon. Or whatever. For as long as it takes.
