Match-up Request: Generally looking for a companion who can follow me around with little trouble. I love bug types, but I'm allergic to most grass-types due to pollen. I live on the outskirts of a city in a neighborhood, but the weather is pretty season-dependent. I'm pretty experienced with Pokémon, and I'm fine with having two or three of the same Pokémon. I'm also pretty emotional, and might need a 'mon that can calm me down or comfort me ^^
((Another match-up that was left in my Ask box when I dropped off the face of the Earth. Sorry for the wait!))
Ooh, I know! How about a Leavanny?
Now, I know what you're probably thinking: "But Laur, they said they're allergic to Grass-type pollen!" That is true, however, Leavanny — so long as you do not teach them Pollen Puff — do not produce any pollen, making them suitable for those with allergies. Known as "the Nurturing Pokémon," Leavanny tend to be quite caring towards both Pokémon and humans, making them great pals for people who need a little emotional support.
Grooming needs for this species are virtually nonexistent, though you will want to keep an eye on those external leaves to make sure they aren't drying out.
The entire Sewaddle line is pretty safe for even the most novice of trainers, so an experienced one like yourself should have no issues. However, be sure to keep a close watch if there are ever small children around Leavanny, as they can accidentally injure themselves on the Pokémon's arm blades. Leavanny also tend to be rather protective over their trainers, so proper socialization is important to ensure that they don't become overprotective.
