RIP Connor Roy (not dead just gone from our screens) you would have hated Napoleon (2023).
So like I know everyone makes fun of James Norrington in PotC for that part where Elizabeth is like “I can’t breathe” and he says “Yes, rather nervous myself” or something like that and there’s also that meme about “lol men comparing their problem to women’s” but to be fair, he was genuinely a nervous sweetheart, as soon as Elizabeth fell he was straight up ready to jump after her, he was only stopped by lieutenant what’s his face Gillete like “sir no, the rocks! It’s a miracle she missed them!”
Like yeah when I was a kid I hated Norrington cause he was in the way of Will and Elizabeth but now i’m just like… James… my love… such a pure soul… we’ve been sleeping on you, my darling, but no more
tl;dr James Norrington is a good man & husband material, you guys are just mean
whenever he calls her angel I scream into a pillow because GODDDDDD
You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me
And we learn once again that public proposals are the absolute devil and should never take place. Ever.
me and @myarmsaretoolong came to the same consensus, so i’m guessing we all have?
in short, we think we keep getting songs from previous seasons filtering through in slightly “inappropriate” places (e.g. amy’s theme being used for a different character, toxic playing for no reason) to further the whole “this is a simulation. the doctor is stuck in his own show” thing. but it’s not just that, he’s getting thrown into random echoes of the past, and it’s all distorted and not how it originally played out/SHOULD play out. major example: the midnight monster doesn’t have the “right” powers and mechanics. the doctor’s been thrown into his past in a way but it’s happening wrong
we all talk about elizabeth’s kiss of death but i want to talk about how every ship james ever sails on ( the dauntless, the interceptor, the pearl, the endeavor ) ends up at the bottom of the ocean with the exception of the dutchman, which is the ship that he himself dies on
"What is swabbing, exactly?" ↳ SENSE AND SENSIBILITY (1995) dir. Ang Lee

If this wasn’t their subtle way to reference Ever After, than the stars have aligned to make it happen regardless
