Time for some HCs with Kevin and Susan

I like to think that Susan greatly dislikes Kevin and doesn’t like his attitude and lack of genuine consideration for others and feels her brother doesn’t discipline him enough. Kevin here thinks she’s boring and lame and makes fun of her whenever she’s not around, even imitating her accent and way of talking whenever mocking what she’d say.

Kevin always wanted get into Susan’s tools and stuff out of pure curiosity but she was the type to be like “don’t touch ANYTHING” and was always very particular about her supplies and tools and whether or not people touched and handled them. She especially didn’t trust Kevin of all people with them either since he never seemed too careful about anything that wasn’t his.

The problem is his dad would often just dump him off at her place whether she actually wanted to watch him or not. Like he’d just call her up and say “Hello how’s your day oh btw I’m bringing Kevin over” or even just come over randomly. One of those times she was forced to take Kevin to work with her and he got to see her work on the animatronics.

She had him sit right by her and to stay where she could watch him while she worked on the animatronics since she didn’t want him loose and potentially goofing stuff up. She showed him the animatronics and how they worked so far because due to her great pride in them, she’s always jumping at each possible chance to show them off.

At first she was like NO TOUCHYYYYYY but after an hour or two of working she was like ok…..maybe you can help…. since she saw him laying on the floor staring at the ceiling for over an hour and she started to feel bad. He actually really enjoyed it and thanks to this, they finally found something to bond over.

They’d work together in partial silence with her doing all the dirty work and him handing her tools and supplies and watching closely as she gladly explained the tasks she was doing.

Unfortunately when they were truly beginning to actually feel more decently toward one another, Susan disappeared suddenly. Kevin didn’t show it much, but he was extremely disappointed and ended up being the one to inherit her tools, supplies and books.

Kevin never had too much of an emotional relationship with either of his parents, he never truly bonded with either very often and few words were exchanged in his home, it was mostly just his parents telling him stuff or telling him to do things.

During their last moments together, Kevin would often join Susan at work whenever he was able to be there and would watch and assist her. Susan would lightheartedly joke around and say “my nephew here’s gonna work at this place when he grows up >:^]” despite deep down not really expecting his shared interest with her to last long enough for that to happen.

But of course he actually does and it’s mainly thanks to his relation with her that Felix actually hires him.

Before going to the facility though, him and Felix had an interaction that went like;

“Didn’t my aunt disappear at your restaurant like, eight years ago?”

“Huh?”

“My aunt? Some lady named Susan??”

“…”

“tHE REASON I GOT HIRED HERE ?”

“Ah—oHH SUSAN!! Ohh I miss her, I still wonder where she went off to ….”

Canonically it’s just friends (but as Martin said you can see it as Susan having a secret crush on her) but I like to see it as complicated one sided pining in denial that potentially develops further hehe

Susan’s best friends with Rosie (and is also fairly close to Charles) and one of her fav things she likes to do occasionally is take Sophie out shopping or to the beach or to a park to walk around or something, she considers Sophie to be the little sister she always wanted

It’s also cuz of Susan that Sophie was able to properly realize and come to terms with being no, she had decent guidance and healthy advice on the subject during her early teen years thanks to her
