Over in F2, Ritomo Miyata is openly autistic, and honestly, it means so much. Watching someone navigate the world of motorsport with pride in who they are neurodivergence and all is something I never thought I’d get to witness in this space.

Autistic people belong in every arena, and seeing someone like Ritomo competing at such a high level, embracing his identity without shame, makes me feel so seen. It’s not just about being fast on track it’s about challenging the outdated notions of who “fits” in motorsport.

So if you’re an autistic F1 fan, know this: there’s space for you here. You’re not alone. And thanks to drivers like Miyata, and anyone in the future that the space is only getting bigger.

Im also very positive that there’s a few drivers on the grid who are on the spectrum they just haven’t been tested or open to talk about it but even just the one driver makes me happy.
