This scene lives rent free in my head (and I'm perfectly fine with that)
when thor says, "i love you," loki knows it was meant for someone else's ears. when he calls him "brother," loki knows thor has a different sibling in mind, one whose wings were clipped; a little boy who is long-dead; a child whose blood coats loki's hands and mouth.
a good-hearted prince with a silver tongue, which thor does not yet know that he should be mourning.
Is it a curse or a blessing, that time sweetens memories?

Back to when I put a Lana Del Rey's song into my school essay
"Everyone talks about getting hit by Cupid's arrow, but no one talks about the bleeding and the scar left after it's been pulled out"
