and what if the slaughtered lamb asked you to sing while it died
drdt ch2 ep16 spoilers
this episode showcased the difference between acevi so well. levi, who can't feel emotions and struggles to understand them, making him function on logic instead of feelings. and then we have ace, who is literally a bundle of emotions, who clings and acts on his own feelings so much
ace needing to stay mad at levi, because he copes best with anger, because he cares so much to the point it could genuinely break him. and it's something levi can't understand
unfortunately I like this green thing a lot
10. "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU EVEN IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO."
9. "you used corruption, believing in me? how beautiful."
8. "thank you for being a victim of my shallow emotions."
7. "tell me, you fool. if i continue to regress, will i get to ever meet you again?
6. "if all i can do as a human is to believe... my god. my universe..."
5. "for all that it's worth, i was telling the truth when i said i enjoyed working with you."
4. "if it's for your sake, i don't mind being locked in this eternal maze."
3. "under different circumstances, we could have been great rivals. or perhaps even friends."
2. "at last, we meet."
"it means i'm going to save you no matter what."
there are 3000 of you so if 1/3 of you rb this we can put goodtimeswithscar at the top of the dream smp tag
something something about Parkour Legends mistaking Seawatt for Evbo's boyfriend
"Your trust."
Since the beginning, Evbo strived to be something more, to figure out his purpose in a system so unforgiving.
To become more.
Nowhere was safe, always a few hits away from death. But then he came to realize the importance of the armour stand, progress as he pleased, give his eternal trust into the hands of all who cared.
Taking a breather on the Iron sword level, come to believe that peace blooms unlike every other corner of this civilization.
Was it too foolish of him to learn that there is more to life than PvP? Nobody should have to die to live.
Tabi had stuck by him since the beginning, changing all he knew about this place, granting him mercy in the Market Place. Could it be that when Evbo kept showing up was the moment she realised that he could be useful for the grand plan?
And if it meant suffering through his monologues, it was a price to pay to live forever.
Was she never even captured? Was it just a coy to stuff Evbo into that cell that is painted red by his blood as decoration? Sitting on the cold stone as it drips down on the side.
Did Tabi seriously not gain any sympathy, hearing the tireless screams die down along with him? Slashed by the piercing blade, a tool like he's become.
Even if the Guard wasn't exactly the most kind to him, he was somewhat patient, merciful, and always stuck to his word. He waited long for Evbo to come back to his own slaughter, lending a helping hand, even if it just meant five more minutes of ease.
And of course, Evbo's first thought was to bring Tabi with him to the next layer. Evbo died and died and suffered and learnt and died and learnt and died and marched forward, just to figure out how to get past the Golden level. Tabi just followed after him.
She never did bring up the hurt, only using it as an example to keep Evbo from discovering the truth.
She never did bring up hearing Evbo plead for his useless life, only for it to turn into 'just get on with it' or nothing at all.
At least the Diamond swords had some compassion, not blaming Evbo for the success of his 'friend'. Who knows what Tabi might do with that sword, Evbo probably won't be around to see.
But when it came down to it, he had hope. He had hope that under all that training, reckless words, was the Tabi he began to know, the mask slipping.
Standing in her way, he couldn't just let her pass by him, not saying a word.
She killed him quick enough, when all Evbo wanted to hear were what she truly had to say, after a long journey, that she did infact care.
In that moment, he didn't care for the lick of freedom, standing infront of the open gate that would grant him his only goal, escaping PvP Civilization. He just wanted to hear Tabi out, an explanation would have been nice.
Did he truly mean nothing to her?
When he was back to where it all started, he was only met with bloodthirst, they all wanted him dead, they all wanted his sword, they all wanted his head.
The arrow stuck in the tree reassured him of change.
There is a lot to more to come, but for now he's just the guy with the shopping addiction. The guy that talks too much. The guy that trusts people too much. The guy that isn't half bad at PvP, and the guy that believes there is more to this world than fighting to live longer.
But for now he's just Evbo.
idk how intentional evbo is but the way he plays pvpciv evbo as just a kid desperately looking for any form of human connection hits me so hard. the first person to give him a chance and teach him how to be better and he's immediately attached like a lost puppy. he's constantly asking anyone who'll listen how to make friends, he's told he should know people's names first and he immediately makes a point to learn as many people's names as he can. he's willing to go to horrific lengths to protect the connections he already has and is so open to sharing important information just so people trust him. even the bit with the video journal is just a way for him to try to be seen and understood, and he didn't even hesitate with the rather suspicious "share" option and picked it instantly.
