Reblog to put one of these in your mutuals’ pocket when they’re not looking
Gonna be so real if a 12 year old traced my art and put it on their school binder I would be so fucking honored
Omg i had no idea they were even considering making a second one, that's cool!! I'd love to see another similar story from the same writers. I loved how the character stories all connected too, it's a really well-formed narrative! And yeah, it's not super close to ZE in a lot of ways, but I think the main point of comparison for me was the way it uses the fact that it's a video game to creatively tell its narrative. Like, using the save & sound on/off buttons in the menu to get past certain parts and realizing at the end that you could do that because you, the player, are a ghost interfering with the story who has otherworldly powers?? Amazing!! So that part reminded me a lot of both the dual screens in 999 and the flowchart's story relevance in VLR.
hi i was checking your backloggd and you have excellent taste!!! 👀❤️ we have so many games in common, i followed you for otome only but you even played paranormasight, i didn't know there was anyone around me who played it!! fghkfhgk
Omg yes I loved Paranormasight!!!
I played it back in February and I could hardly put it down! The story was so interesting and I love love love when games get creative with how they mix the gameplay and narrative elements. It reminded me a lot of Zero Escape actually, so that could be part of why I like it so much lol. It's cool to see someone else who played it! :)
As much as I love otome, I've actually been a mystery game fan for a lot longer lol so I play a lot in that genre and I love to talk about those games too!
Hey hey, everyone! My name is Wren, and welcome to Otome Detective!
Currently Playing: Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side: First Love Plus ~ Click here to view my Game Collection on Backloggd <3
I originally made this blog to talk about otome games only, but I had a rather long otome slump this year, during which I played the entirety of Persona 5 Royal (and a lot of Persona 3 Portable before the Akihiko social link made me start to miss my otome games again lol) so I'd love to talk about other games too, especially in the rpg & mystery genres!
If you'd like to read my about page, you can do so here.
If you'd like to read my thoughts on being an aromantic otoge player, check out this post here.
I plan to eventually write and share my personal reviews of certain otome games and routes, so stay tuned for that!
people have got to learn the difference between I didnt like it and It was bad
i get that for most people tragedy is just always gonna feel Bad to read and that informs a lot of bury your gays discourse but we must not forget that a lot of people sincerely enjoy writing and reading tragedy and queer audiences still deserve to have good tragedies written by and for them imo
Figured maybe I should share this on tumblr
need to make a joke about virche evermore but it involves a MASSIVE spoiler for Le Salut so i'm hiding it below the cut - click at your own risk.
Still not 100% sure how I feel about this reveal lol because on the one hand WOW amazing plot twist and really cool but on the other hand I am a huge Ankou fan who finds Adolphe incredibly bland and kinda irritating soooo...
I'll post more Virche thoughts as I manage to write them all up - currently my playthrough notes are just rambling lists in my Backloggd journal lol. Going to play through all the good endings soon <3
I'm Wren! I like otome games, rpgs, and mysteries! Feel free to reach out, as I'd love to chat! :)
