Do you engage with commentary by sex workers at all, including those who advocate for decriminalization or who aren't activists but oppose their clients being criminalized regardless? It seems to me that your concerns are for women generally, because you falsely believe that decriminalizing sex work would lead to further misogyny by validating the purchase of sex, but that you don't seem aware of what sex workers think and feel about the subject at all.
When you're speaking over a marginalized group and insisting you know better, that tells me you don't value their opinions or see them as worthy of listening to.

Yes, and I disagree. I’ve read and listened to plenty of sex workers who argue for full decriminalization. I still fundamentally disagree. That disagreement doesn’t come from ignorance, it comes from looking at the broader consequences. And as it turns out, many current and former sex workers agree with me. Do you 🫵🏾 listen to them?

I’m very aware of what pro-decriminalization sex workers say. Sex workers can be wrong. Being directly involved in a system doesn’t mean you automatically have the clearest view of its harms.
Also, "falsely"? Wdym "falsely"? How can validating purchasing sexual access to women not lead to further misogyny, a cornerstone of which is male access to and control over women's sexuality?

The opinions of pro sex work workers are not more or less valuable than anti sex work workers. I take issue with the idea that disagreement equals dismissal. I’ve listened. I’ve read the arguments. I still believe the normalization of sex work hurts women and that includes the women working in the industry. I am not obligated to fall behind a line of thinking just because a particular person is saying it.
In conclusion, feminism isn't a girl's club. It isn't here to support anything a woman does. It's about female liberation, and that doesn't change because some of the people working against our liberation are also women. There are pro-life women too. There are anti-suffragette women too. Why don't we listen to and validate them as well?
It is not more feminist to align with pro sex work rhetoric simply because a sex worker asked you to. Not everything a woman does is feminist. not even everything a feminist does is feminist. we can't advance if we're too busy coddling and "listening" and being too afraid to question.
One thing that rarely comes up in online radfem spaces, and one which shows the real generational disconnect of women, is health information about menopause and how understudied it is.
Did you know:
-Menopause can cause drastic suicidality and increases in mental health crises?
-Menopause can cause your skin to thin and tear?
-When menopause happens and what to do if it comes early to protect your bone health? (HRT, which can be prohibitively expensive and is controversial)
-Menopause can change the pH of your vulva and vagina and require medical washes?
-Brain fog is often a symptom, and so are memory lapses?
-Women in menopause are gaslit about the severity of their symptoms?
-Perimenopause often lasts several years?
-Hot flashes can be debilitating and painful?
-Your hair often thins?
-Post-menopausal bleeding is a typical sign of cancer that women are not educated on and is often missed?
-Migraines and UTIs can increase in severity and frequency?
-You may experience a burning mouth?
-Painful cystic acne often appears?
-Decreased estrogen means less lubricated joints and often is the beginning of arthritis?
-Your body may not produce enough keratin for your nails to not crack and break painfully?
-Some women can experience panic attacks?
-It can cause tinnitus?
-Lupron can chemically induce menopause?
-Almost all studies on aging do not account for menopause?
I know part of this is about the general age on this website, but I also think it says something about our culture that women’s bodies go through two extremely significant changes and our society is only really interested in the one that it perceives as preparing our bodies for sex and pregnancy.
Literally…the mid thirties dude who groomed me as a teenager going from a raging interracial porn addict who hated his ex because she was more successful than him, got off on my CSA and the idea of me ratting him out so he could get ***** in prison by another man, and wanted me to be his tradwife….to a fucking goth transfem during our “relationship”….crazy how it’s always the porn fried dudes who transition. Brandon G.way (very mildly censoring his name), you are the reason I peaked.
I've gotta say, watching the creepiest dudes from my high school become TIMs is dystopian as fuck.
"Trans women are women" that is literally Brad from English. He's been fetishizing lesbians and frying his brain cells with anime porn since he got access to the internet.
That’s a woman with short hair, calm down
reminder that lesbians are NOT more violent than men and we don't have the highest domestic violence rates. i wish people (mostly men) would stop deliberately misconstruing this
i think the takes that have gotten me the most hate on here are:
children are people and it’s not appropriate to randomly insult them
smoking etiquette is generally context dependent and “this is rude” isn’t the same as “this is an unforgivable sin”
it’s not women and minorities’ fault that white men become nazis
idk y’all should treat fat men better. and i don’t mean mildly chubby guys i mean honest-to-god love-handles-and-double-chins fat guys. stop calling them shit like discord mods or gross weebs or nasty creeps or neckbeards or that they’re stinky or sweaty or beer bellied or whatever else. fatphobia isn’t cute, even repackaged in a neat little box of “ew men”
anti-detrans ppl will be like "if you, as a teenager, got involved with a community constantly telling you that you'll kill yourself by the age of 30 unless you medically transition, you're a gullible fucking moron for letting that convince you to transition. also we CANNOT allow detransitioners to share their stories because they might influence some people not to transition" and not see any contradiction between those two sentiments
shit like this has bothered me since forever and I only realize why now, its because they try to break norms without going all the way through, to the point of going backwards. Yes, a man can be pretty and soft BUT that makes him a princess! Or a wife! Or a material girl!
Notice how the essential social meaning of princess and wife never change. Notice how they have trouble wanting to consider that pretty men can be pretty princes, or pretty husbands. Notice how the roles associated with these words (wife and husband will always mean entirely different things to them) never change. They cannot fathom it, and because they do not want to think without the base of stereotypical gender.
Its all 'FUCK GENDER ROLES', but babes you depend on them so much. Your whole ideology would crumble and you wouldn't feel so special anymore without those stereotypes. Which is why progress on gender roles is not only stagnating but actively regressing, now anyone can opt into boxes that should have been destroyed long ago for the sake of true progress, but are being kept around for decoration.
men will PURPOSELY ask you things in a condescending tone and then act surprised when you get an attitude like “i wasn’t trying to start an argument” yes you were travis shut the fuck up
