Trans men will always be a female ❤️ trans women will always be male ❤️ there you go
“You will never be a woman” lmao it’s nice to be affirmed as a trans man. Transphobia failed successfully
"fetishizing incest and pedophilia is okay as long as it's fictional" is genuinely one of the craziest tumblr takes that so many people agree with. i want to take a brick and do things with it
Carrie is fat in the book. Learning that completely blew me.
The use of pigs blood makes so much more sense. The reason she was bullied so relentlesly, even though she does nothing to nobody, makes so much more sense. The relationship with her mother makes so much more sense.
I know they aren't going to, but I wish they would cast someone fat in this new Carrie adaptation. From the articles I've seen, they are already speculating which skinny actress it's going to be.
How many times can they tell the story the same exact way? The answer: endlessly.
I don't know what's worse the total erasure of fat people in movies or the only story we get to see ourselves in are the love yourself fatty movies.
Can I just say this weird social media push of "girl cat boy cat" pisses me off there was this girl i overheard who was petting a cat who was showing her a lot of love and talking about adopting her but when she found out she was a girl cat she was like "I don't like girl cats" like what the fuck are we doing misogyny against cats now
Young girls are reading dark romance and eroticizing their own oppression, and violence done against them.
Young boys are watching pornography and eroticizing women’s oppression and violence done against women.
There is nothing subversive about kink or pornography. The status quo remains intact, men act, women submit. Now only, women are taught even younger than before, to romanticize the violence that will be done to them.
as a fujoshi understander, as some of you may know, i have an answer for this. it’s because traditional yaoi isn’t about gay people or gay culture, really. i do not subscribe to the notion that they generally fetishize gay people. i believe this is a grave misunderstanding. traditional yaoi is an experiment involving the removal of the female victim from the sexual regime of heterosexuality, so that women feel more comfortable eroticizing said regime. they are negotiating their place in a patriarchal sexual culture. if they can be accused of “fetishizing” anything, it is heterosexuality. if you find heterosexual norms hot, then yes, homophobia is compatible with that desire. they’re putting two men in a heterosexual relationship. they’re creating a fantasy where men are sexually subordinate to the oppressors of women, and the limitations of said regime remain intact. it is both subversive and regressive.
maybe subconsciously but a lot of people really do not believe women are intelligent enough to be funny on purpose, or absurd/ironic on purpose, or make art that makes people uncomfortable on purpose. “omfg how did she not realise how this would come off” she realised. i promise she realised. i’m going to kill you.
Meanwhile most men have skid marks in their underwear
I hate the weird smell insecurity (idk what else to call it) that's being pushed on women rn. All of the whole body deodorants that are being advertised, the videos about """female hygiene"""", how you need to smell good down there, and "how to smell like a SNACK 😍 all day long". Perfumes, body mists and scented lotions are a huge deal rn, which says to me that companies have found yet another way to make women overly self-aware and paranoid about how they are perceived, as well as a new way to exploit them consistently for money. It never ends, the creativity is insane. If its not one thing its another.
